George Michael Album: “Easier Affair [Maxi Single]”

Before this song was released for sale, I was able to listen to it on GM's website. I have to say that I was not impressed with this song then. It sounded like a "filler" song put together to hold fans over until the release of "George Michael 25".

However, I now have the CD in hand and have been able to listen to the song properly (loud in my car). And I have to say that I really enjoy this song. It is still "filler" sounding to me and reminds me of several different GM songs blended into one, which is why I am not rating this 5 stars. But the song has a really great beat and fun lyrics and should be appreciated by GM fans simply for that.

My only complaint would be that there are no mixes of the song and that the b-side ("Brother Can You Spare A Dime") is already available on the "Songs From The Last Century" album. George does, however, spoil us with a live version of the song this time around. Not sure anything sounds better than George singing live.

I have already seen this single in music stores for as little as $4.99 (Tower Records in New Orleans, LA). So, $12.99 may seem a bit expensive for 2 songs. Just keep in mind that this is an import which is why it may cost what it does and also keep in mind that this may not be on shelves for very long. I say buy it while you can.

once again the greatest male voice in the history of pop music has returned with a fantastic dance hit! though no longer the huge pop icon here in the united states, george remains a huge best seller elsewhere in the world. the words to this song (as in all his songs) are meaningful - not just drivel that many pop singers subject us to. an easier affair will definitely have you singing along get your feet and body moving. can't wait for the full album to hit the stores!! we can only dream george will once again tour the u.s.

I gave this song 5 stars just because it is George Michael and because it is new and I always want to hear his latest! I was thinking four stars because, well honestly he is much better than this, I am not saying this is a bad song, it is fun and it is groovy but at the same time he is better than this lyrically, musicaly and vocally! This would be an excellent song for someone like Justin Timberlake or Ricky Martin or one of those other jump around wanna be somethings else types, but for GM, I do not think so but it is not bad, for fans and new listerers, and I think thats why it is the way it is so a few new listeners would enjoy it also!! Buy it because you are buying music from a true artist in every aspect! As always have fun and Injoy!

It has been about 1 hour since I wrote the above, now I have been listening to it on repeat and I must say it is the best. George has done it again! I love it and I promise you will love it too just give it a few listen's. Wow I am so happy that finally I have something so fine to listen to and you will be happy too thats is a promise!
