George Michael will perform a special event stadium show in Sydney at Sydney Football Stadium on Friday 26 February. Location: Telstra Dome After initially snubbing his Melbourne fans, George Michael has rewarded their Faith and announced a March 3 show at Etihad Stadium. The singer originally announced only two dates in Australia - Perth on February 20 and Sydney on the 26th of February - but fan protests on sites such as Facebook helped secure the third show. The Wednesday concert will allow Michael's massive stage to be assembled and taken down around NAB cup matches at the venue on February 28 and March 5. It will be the British star's first Australian tour since his 1988 Faith tour and his first performances in over a year. He will perform material taken from the entire span of his career, including classic Wham! tracks.
