- Great album from a talented group
Wet Wet Wet (strange name), is a tuly talented group. These guys from Scotland not only play their own instruments, but also wrote all but one song on this album. They also produced the album too. And Marti Pellow has a voice to die for! Every song here is a great song...no filler at all. And the 20 page booklet is great...contains all the lyrics, plus tons of pop art paintings, which makes for a very colourful booklet. I would be very hard pressed to pick a favourite song from this album. If you like well written, intelligent pop, then this is for you.

- THE BEST GROUP EVER
I'm a big fan of Wet Wet Wet an I have all their albums. I'm 35 years old and live in Sweden. This one is one of their best CD's. I like every track on the album, and that's rare! There's almost always a few really bad songs among the really good ones. My personal favourites are Love is all around (1!), Gypsy girl, Somewhere somehow. This is a CD really worth buying! If you like Wet Wet Wet, DON'T MISS THIS ONE!!!!
- A surprisingly fine album
I remember when I used to scour records stores for new bands to listen to. I came across this band called wet wet wet and they looked very 80's and put them back. Recently, I was working at my supermarket and heard this wonderfully warm soul-ballad on the radio "Sweet surrender" and set out to find out who it was... Wet Wet Wet. They didn't have "Sweet surrender" at my local library but I was happy to make to with one of their other albums.
Upon hearing this disc, and taking into account it was a 1990's effort, they seem to have taken the first half of the album for a 90's sound and the second half of the album for a style similar to "Sweet Surrender". It isn't until the seventh track, "Someone like you" that Marti Pellow sings in his characteristically rich soul voice. "Someone like you" is a fabulous country and western / soul fusion that has a fantastic melody.
The first six songs he sings in a more 90's style, except on gypsy girl which is really blue-grass sounding. The tracks "Somewhere somehow" and "Don't want to forgive me now" are catchy nineties pop songs, while "She's all my mind" is a really tender soul song, again with great vocals.
There are a couple of attempts at funk-rock, and although they are a bit predictable, they are a fine balance for the slower tracks. Acutally "She might never know" is a really good one. I wasn't fond of the finelyu orchestrated opener because it's a very slow opening track and he's talking about dumping his girlfired, something I regret having done!
Overall this is a really good album. A bit rustic sounding (and I was worried they would sound too 80's!) but still really good pop music, eclectic enough to keep it fresh. I hope you enjoy the album.

- WET WET WET FAN #1 IN MEXICO
The first time I heard Wet Wet Wet was on MTV with the song "Love is all around" and I loved it. This Scotish are an excellent musicians and with this album they show it. All the song in "Picture this" are excellent. "Morning" is the best, with the strings and Marti Pellow's voice. If you find this CD, you should buy it, because this is the best album of this group. I love Marti Pellow, he is the best singer in the world.
