Don't Be scared by the price, or the current track listing (showing the bonus disc's listing),this Euro version is how Tina and producer Trevor Horn wanted you to hear "Wildest Dreams." A different tracking order, song selection, mix, it reminds this listener's ears of the same urbanization performed on Cher's Euro version of "It's A Man's World," uncannily, also produced by Trevor Horn, even to the point of deleting a spoken French recitation on both efforts (take note, artists, U.S. record execs still freak when they hear any "foreign" language on a major release!). In both cases they hacked and hewed, until both CD's bombed stateside. If you're a fan of Tina's (or Cher's), sell your wimpy, Americanized version of "Wildest Dreams," through Amazon.com and pick-up the real deal. It's a limited-edition tour pack from a few years ago, and the bonus disc with live, edited, and remixed tracks, places this one in the "this is really cool" category. It also serves to remind one how a record exec can really mess-up a good thing by spray-painting over the artist' and producer's canvas.
