- Something different

I wouldn't classify these sisters as Indigo Girls-brand. They are in a different style, with a lighter touch and a less-world-centered commentary in their lyrics. However, they DO have the same amazing song-writing ability and phenomenal harmonies. I cannot imagine anyone would be disappointed with their album. I, too, really wish to hear new material by them. Why Britney Spears gets radio play and these two go unheard is one of the many crimes of overcommercialized... radio. Give them a spin, you will not be disappointed.

- Staggeringly beautiful harmonies overcome sophamoric lyrics

(ex: "I feel nothing / I feel nothing / I feel nothing / I feel nothing") to make this a pleasing debut, and wonderful listen - in - the car music.

The Pierces are two fine looking women who, from their songs, have their hearts broken entirely too often. The arrangements are fresh and the harmomies the best since the heyday of The Roches.

Not counting the entirely bizarre song 'Jeffrey,' probably the first rock 'n roll song ever sung about a brother who died / ran away / killed himself (it's hard to tell, but it's not good, whatever happened to Jeffrey) sung to a peppy beat, the songs are fun, hummable and entirely delightful listening.

- Good CD, Great Voices from New Artists

I saw the Pierces in Boston at a small club. Their voices are amazing creating beautiful harmonies. I am not sure if there is a single on the album other than "The Way", but it is a great album for people who like female artists who are new to the scene. I look forward to their next album and hope they get more radio play.

- If this be error and upon me proved, I never writ...

I found this CD at a used CD shop, and since I'd been searching for it forever, I immediately bought it. I first heard The Pierces' "The Way" on NPR, and I fell in love with their music. The blending of their voices, emotions, and artistry is incredible. I would recommend this to anyone who appreciates this style of music--kind of like the Indigo Girls without the hatred. :)

- All-around Excellent

The Pierces have oodles of talent and their disc is so listenable, sing-a-long-able and enjoyable that you will leave it in your disc tray for weeks. A year from now everyone will know who they are-- until then enjoy them for yourself.
