Disco de The Four Seasons: “Hits Featuring Frankie Valli”
Descripción (en inglés) :
Producers: Bob Crewe, Bob Gaudio, Turner D. Centri.
All tracks have been digitally remastered.
An excellent, if necessarily incomplete (only 12 tracks) best-of by one of the great underappreciated bands of the '60s. Some of their '70s hits are here as well, including the nicely nostalgic "December 1963 (Oh What Night)," and there's a cute if irrelevant dance remix of their early hit "Big Girls Don't Cry," but it's the '60s stuff here that really resonates. The song selection emphasizes the Season's pure pop side; in fact, thanks to Seasons songwriter Bob Gaudio's infectious tunes, lead singer Frankie Valli's seemingly helium-induced falsetto and, Bob Crewe's psychedelically vivid productions, one can make a reasonable case that the stuff here is the purest pop music ever made. Hear it and be changed forever.

- This has all the Four Season's

greatest hits.

What more could you ask for less than $5? It has all the songs that you associate with that group and all in one place.

There are a lot of other compilation CDs, but as far as value for the money, this is the best of them all.

- Dance Version is Crazy!

Great album . . . mostly. I absolutely HATE the dance version of "Big Girls Don't Cry." It doesn't work to try and adapt a '60s song to the '70s . . . or '80s . . . or '90s. But if you buy the CD edition, at least you can skip over it.
