This combines the two original 1964 albums the group put out.
Dawn (Go Away) is built around the hit song with a few nice originals and many well-chosen covers. The Rag Doll album, on the other hand, is composed entirely of originals, most of which are quite good. This is worth buying if you are a big fan of the group. Has "On Broadway Tonight" which was the theme song for the short-lived TV show. This song can only be found here. Has an excellent booklet.
This CD contains two albums by the 4 Seasons from 1964.
features a mere three original 4 Seasons songs, with the rest of the album being covers of 1950s rock songs. The classic hit "Dawn" is of course the best song, but "Big Man's World" and "Only Yesterday" are also great originals. As for the cover songs, most of them are good, with "Church Bells May Ring" and "Do You Wanna Dance" being standouts.
, in contrast, features all original 4 Seasons songs. Including three classic Top Ten hits ("Save It For Me", "Rag Doll" and "Ronnie"). Most of the other songs are also good, especially "Danger", "Marcie", "Funny Face" and "Huggin' My Pillow".
