oh, you can forget the first song....compared with the following. "motorway to Damascus" is a brilliant and haunting song, with that usual DC's blend of lyricism, sadness, ironic emphatism, and daydreaming ; and the frail, out-of-the past and full of promises demo version of "Lucy" is to be listened before like if the it was the end of everything
"...and how was I to know that just one kiss, would turn my frog into a...cow!" The Frog Princess is the pinnacle of Neil Hannon's sense of humour. A brilliant song, which just makes you laugh and feel good. Also most of the B-sides here are very good, too.
