I first obtained a copy of this double-cd compilation over the Christmas holidays and the first time I heard songs like "Cottonfields", "California", and "Add some music(to your day)", I was awe struck and I said to myself "What other great songs by the Beach Boys?". I recently discovered that Capitol Records is doing a major revamp of the entire Beach Boys catalog. This is a major relief for me because I can't go much further than the Greatest hits Vol.1 and 2, Pet Sounds, Friends, the upcoming Greatest hits Vol.3 Best of the Brother years, and Original Gold (still need Endless Summer, Good Vibrations-30 years of the Beach Boys, and Spirit of America). Anyway, this compilation includes obvious choices like Good Vibrations, Sloop John B., and I get around. Although this is an import, It is making it's way to the U.S., as I have seen it in Best Buy. This is a must for any Beach Boy fan. Get it and keep in mind the massive Capitol revamp of the Beach Boys catalog.

I recently obtained a copy of this two-cd compilation and the first time I heard songs like "California", "Cottonfields", and "Add some music to your day", I was thinking what other great songs by the Beach Boys am I missing. When I looked in the website for the Beach Boys fan club, I observed happily that Capitol Records is doing a major revamp of the Beach Boys catalog. They are doing all of their '60's albums for Capitol and their Warner/Reprise and CBS albums. This is a major relief to me because I am starting a Beach Boys album collection and I can't go much further than Pet Sounds, Original Gold, Greatest Hits Vol. 1 and 2 and Friends (still need Endless Summer and Spirit of America). Anyway, Original Gold captured my interest not only in the hits but also the songs that didn't make the charts. Although only an import, it may find its way to a music seller near you as I've seen it being sold in Best Buy. Get this album this album to "Add some Music (To your day). And remember the major revamp at Capitol.
