I've been a huge Taylor Dayne fan since the release of her first album, Tell It To My Heart, back in 1988. Taylor has one of those voices and styles that once you've heard her you can't forget her. One of the truly legendary voices in music...and often underrated and forgotten.
This "live" CD offering is bare bones with any kind of information about the recording itself, such as where it was recorded, etc. It does say it was recorded in September 2002 and that's it. However, the live show included on this disc is what truly shines and is one of the best I've ever heard, from any artist.
It is with great pleasure that I can honestly say that Taylor Dayne can actually sing live. Her voice is powerful and strong and never falters. She can switch from strong vocal lines to soft ones in a heartbeat. Taylor's voice leads this show, not the band or back up singers which is often the case with other performers. taylor IS the star here have no doubts about that.
The track listing listed above is incorrect. "Soul Dancing" is not included in this show but instead we get the much better song "I'll Wait". All the hits are represented here...Don't Rush Me, I'll Always Love You, I'll Be Your Shelter, Can't Get Enough Of Your Love, Tell It To My Heart and the classic Love Will Lead You Back.
If your already a Taylor Dayne fan..do yourself a favor...pick this CD up. And for those of you who want to experience a REAL singer..Taylor Dayne fills that bill and then some.
Her voice is amazing and she does all her big songs. Not exactly riveting like a Cyndi Lauper concert but still pretty good nonetheless.
