Soraya Album: “En Esta Noche”

Me cuesta escribir estas lineas por la pena que siento ante la noticia de tu fallecimiento. Solo quiero decir en este momento que mi pena se consuela porque se que luchaste mucho en esta vida, y eso se te tendra en cuenta aqui y en la eternidad. Gracias por ser un ejemplo de fortaleza para todos y por las canciones que nos dejaste .

Soraya is and will always be one of the best Latin singers. Her music, talent and beauty will eternally bless all who have heard this angel sing.

I had first heard (Track #1) this very vaugely in english. Then later in the year I started listening to a latin Radio Station and Heard it (Track #1) in spanish not knowing there is a version in english and by the Same person. But I knew this was a very familar Song. De Repente is what started my life and the new life I Started at 18. I know she speaks of her Experinces and I am deeply blessed to understand. She has Drawn love out of my heart in a way no one has. Even though I am a man I have not experinced breast Cancer, Her Songs are like Messages that You and I could Relate In our own ways. What Makes Soraya "Soraya" is her Gift to the world. Her Music Is Like the Higher Power For those That Beleive. It embraces you with love in many different affections. Then it Cleanses Your heart of the Spiritual Poisoning we have felt. Then it baptizes us With Renewed Hope, Stength and Inspiration.

Soraya es una de las artitas mas romanticas que he escuchado. Su voz junto con su romanticas canciones hacen de este un exelente disco. Temas como "De Repente", "Avalancha", "Quedate", "Debo Saber", y "Amor En Tus Ojos" te haran pensar solo en el amor. Soraya es unica.

The CD was released shortly after Soraya's mother died after a long struggle with breast cancer. The title song "En Esta Noche" and its English version "On Nights Like This" were written by Soraya in tribute to her mother. I thought the song was about a romance between a man and a woman. After I learned that it was about Soraya's love for her mother, her mother's long battle with cancer, and the night her mother died, the lyrics made more sense to me. It brought tears to my eyes.
