Disco de Seal: “Acoustic Session”

If you like Seal and his passionate, powerful voice then this abreviated release is a must have. Stripped of all the production effects these raw versions of some of Seal's best songs show Seal for the artist he is and they really highlight the emotional power of his voice. The huge problem is you can't find this release anywhere anymore. That's a true disservice to Seal and his fans.

This Acoustic album was a freebie with my original purchase of Seal's '91 album. It quickly replaced the full album for me and became part of the soundtrack of my senior year of college, which is saying a lot because I was a music major. This music cuts through. It's honest and passionate in a way that full studio production can't capture.

Seal first album is the best of all of his albums in my opinion. These are very beautifully produced acoustic versions of some of the best songs. I heard this EP "back in the day" when it came out - a friend had it. I looked for this EP for a LONG time but didn't want to spend the big bucks required to get it on ebay. I found it on another digital download site - a legal one - not a torrent or something. All I can say is that it is as good as I remember - maybe better!

This album highlights how good Seal's voice really is. Without any post production techniques, this album is in my opinion better than his debut album, although all the songs are from that first album.
