Prima J are a dance-pop duo consisting of cousins Jessica and Janelle Martinez. The group created a buzz in 2007 on the strength of their revved-up single, "Rock Star," which appeared in the film BRATZ, and Prima J's full-length self-titled debut delivers plenty of the same pulsing, contemporary R&B. But those seeking the high energy of "Rock Star" may also be surprised to find that PRIMA J leans heavily toward ballads and mid-tempo grooves (with the notable exceptions of "Boom" and "Chilosa"). Still, the duo's attitude, which emphasizes girl power and the cousins' Mexican-American identity, packs plenty of sleek, fun, dance-pop punch.

I Love this CD It's a shame they arent more famous I would love to her more of their songs! Any way this product was great shipped extremely fast and and it was in mint condition! - Love the cd!
Female rockstars unite! Definetly a great cd to purchase. I don't know why they never came out with a 2nd cd, this cd is truly an orginal cd.
My favorite song is 'Chilosa'.

This is the CD for the Summer of '08. These girls sound great. Too bad it's been a year since their hit "Rockstar" from the Bratz soundtrack. I was glad to see that it was included in this cd. "Nadie" is a great remake of Alicia Keys "No One". All the songs are awesome. Congrats Prima J! Looks like you are gonna have an amazing career. I can't wait till you go on tour. You should have Kanye and Fergie open for you. Well, off to You Tube to catch your Wango Tango performance.
