- I Like the Girl...

...and I'm not exactly sure why. Hard rock sure isn't 'my style', but I've found Pink refreshing. I said before that she may be a "21st. century Carly Simon" complete with problems, heart-on-sleeve, and confessional songs, and I stand by that. She's pretty, in a hard-edged sort of way, and she has a strong, clear, understandable voice. Yes, the "understandable" part can be a problem, as the Explicit Lyrics warning means what it says, but kids are going to learn those words all too soon anyway.

The present offering is a well chosen collection of numbers from her earlier CDs, with two bonus tracks. The problems are evident, complete with drugs ("Just Like a Pill"), broken family dynamics ("Family Portrait", "So What"), and confused identity ("Stupid Girls"). The producers gave us "Glitter in the Air", and I'm glad they did as it's a masterpiece. The two bonus cuts are quite good. I could have done without the political bilge of "Dear Mr. President", but it is a well done song.

All-in-all, this is a most excellent collection. If you're a fan, you already have it. If not you may just want to see what you've missed. If you don't like her, that's OK, but I bet you will...

- Good collection except for "Perfect"

I really liked this collection, but was disappointed in "Perfect". The version I was looking for was the clean radio edit (the one with the lyrics "less than, less than perfect") but this one just has the F word silenced. It sounds really lame, and now I have to purchase the clean radio version separately. Otherwise, it's a great CD chock full of all Pink's hits.

- Great CD!

I've always enjoyed Pink's songs, but never purchased one of her CDs until now. It has all of my favorites and a few new ones, too. Definitely great to work out to or just dance around the house!

- "Great CD Release : P!nk's Greatest Hits!"

This is a great CD release by the talented lady rocker P!nk (Alecia Beth Moore), titled "Greatest Hits ... So Far". As with many hits/greatest compilations, not every fans would be 100% satisfied with the CD release as some fan's favourite songs may have been overlooked/omitted for one reason or another. This great CD opens with "Get The Party Started" : a great rocking track with great vocals & harmonies. The tracks, "There You Go" & "Family Portrait" are great pop rock tracks by P!nk. "Don't Let Me Get Me" is a solid rock track/gem with great guitar chords & beautiful melody. "Just Like A Pill" is another solid hard rock track/gem with great (guitar, melody & harmonies). "Trouble" is a rather 'noisy' okay rock track. "Stupid Girls" is a great rock track. "Who Knew" is a solid track/gem with great vocals. "U + UR Hand" is a great hard rock with P!nk on high pitched/range vocals. "Dear Mr. President" is a solid 'social statement' track/gem : great acoustic guitar, beautiful clear vocals & features the band, Indigo Girls. This is my favourite track from this great CD. "So What" is a great loud rock track. "Sober" is another great track : great rhythm guitar with P!nk showing off her beautiful high vocal range. "Please Don't Leave Me" is a solid P!nk classic track/gem : great melody & harmonies. The song was written during her strained relationship with Carey Hart (their relationship luckily/happily went back on track)! "Raise Your Glass" is a great rocking track with high pitched/range vocals. It's a rather 'unusual sounding' track when compared to most of her tracks, especially those included here (showing variability in her songs) [Her fantastic live performance of this great track on American Music Awards on 11/21/10 was one of the best of the night!] "******' Perfect" is a solid laid-back track/gem : great vocals/harmony & great violin in the background. A great closing track remembering that P!nk has just announced (a day after this CD release) she is a few months pregnant now with husband Carey Hart's child. On overall, this is a great CD release by the talented rocker P!nk that will please most of her loyal fans & hopefully find many new ones as well in the process, a highly recommended listening.

- Way more than I expected.

I wasn't a big Pink fan. I knew some of her songs and mainly bought this for my wife who likes her. I was totally blown away by the number of songs I was familiar with just listening to the radio on my way to and from work and at work when I had the chance. Unfortunately many stations don't name the bands when they play a song and you never know who your listening to without doing some investigating on your own. Anyway the thing that surprised me the most was the variety of music she has produced. As I said I had heard many of these songs but would have never guessed they could have all come from the same source. Being in my early 50's I'm not all that in tune to the newer artist. I still live mostly in my beloved 70's music, which I listen to at home, with the occasional new song or artist that catches my ear. Pink has raised my respect for the talent and music she has made. If anybody may be sitting on the fence weather you might like her music or not, I would strongly recommended this CD. Even if you never get another, I can't possibly believe you'd be sorry.
