When I got this album and gave it a first run through all I could think was why on earth had I not heard of them before? Sad answer is that though we have large spanish speaking community in the States, Spanish pop music, save for syrupy balladeers like Enrique Iglesias get no air play on the radio or anywhere else. But enough of that, if you like energetic, melodic, funny, crass, romantic songs look no further, run and get this album. There is not one weak song in the bunch and I guarantee that even if you don't speak spanish you'll be humming these tunes in your head by the second listen. Ruben and Leiva who form Pereza are lyrically like some harder driving modern day Elvis Costello or Joe Jackson transcribers of modern love / broken love in Madrid or any city where bars, friends and a little help from friends can pull you through. So, do I like this album? I LOVE IT!!!
