- the CD samples i heard on Best buys web site

i just sampled this album and she remined me of Mariah Carey, cause of a little comparsion sounding, i would love to buy this CD. I am a big fan Of Mariah Carey and she has some music on some of her albums that sound very simlar to the music on this CD. I like that another singer can have a simlar music style.

- Everything average

First off, does anyone even know this album exists? There's not even an editorial review for it on here. Anyway, I came across this album from Natalie entitled Everything New, and although I wasn't too impressed with her self-titled album, I still decided to give it a listen.

Natalie's vocal skills are a tad better, but with this album she still doesn't break any new ground. And there are a lot of corny selections on here, especially "My Candy", which talks about her goods. "Dance With Me" is also pretty okay, and it isn't helped by the hectic beat. There are also a couple of songs featuring some rapper named Rob G, and he definitely doesn't bring much to the party, as evidenced by "Pieces" and "Slow Dance" (and shouldn't a song called "Slow Dance" be slow?). And like on the first album, Natalie once again tries to RAP on the title track, with lackluster results.

Another thing that happens here that is typical to Baby Bash-related albums is that the bonus track is a song that was already on the first album, namely "Goin' Crazy". But maybe I shouldn't have mentioned Bash because he isn't involved at all on here (I guess he's too busy promoting Paula DeAnda). At any rate, Everything New is better than Natalie's first album, but that's not saying much.

- Diamond in the rough...

With all the gals out there trying to sing softly trying to be the next Janet Jackson (i.e. Cassie), this gal outshines them right out the gate. Don't judge this cd by it's cover, the girl has got some soul. Great silky voice and can flow like Mariah Carey. I love finding great CD's that haven't had a lot of marketing behind them...this one is a diamond in the rough.

- Natalie's Sophomore Effort, Listen For Yourself

Latium/Universal artist Natalie is back with her sophomore album "Everything New" You may recall in 2005 the singer/songwriter had a hit with the song "Goin Crazy." "Goin' Crazy" was followed up by the single "Energy" which featured Baby Bash. Natalie has a huge fan base and she has performed on tickets alongside Frankie J, Play N Skillz, and Baby Bash among other performers.

"Everything New" has a real fresh sound. Natalie experience with various musical genres and styles on the album. and the first single "What You Gonna Do," featuring Bun B is a hot dirty South hip-hop flavored joint. "All of My Life," is a nice ballad. "My Candy" is a Britney Spears type of pop dance song. "Dance With Me," is another fast pop dance track.

Stand out tracks on the album include the first single "What You Gonna Do," "Heartbreaker," and "Turnin' Me On." "When I Was With You," is one of the best songs on the album and would make a great single and with the right featured a remix of this song could put Natalie back in the top 40. Another exciting song on the album is "Everything New," in which Natalie actually raps and she is good!

Overall, "Everything New," is an okay album. Some songs like "Call Me Up," "Slow Dance," seem dated and simply take up space on the album. The problem with "Everything New" is that by dabbling in so many genres as a whole the album doesn't have much continuity. Natalie shines the most on the songs that have an R&B and hip-hop edge whereas some of the pop songs seem a little late 90's ish. She has a beautiful voice and is extremely talented and if her record company gives her another chance she is destined for greatness.

For this record I say listen to yourself and be the judge.

- I Love You So origin

I'm a big fan of 80's freestyle music and I know Natalie remade that song "I Love You So," but does anyone remember the original title and who sang it? I can't find it anywhere and I was only a child back in the 80's so I can't really remember all of the songs! I thought it was Timmy T, but I'm not sure who the original artist is! Any help would be great! Thanks!
