- Not too shabby, but not the greatest either...

I have to say that this is the one of the times I'm glad to be an *NSYNC fan and live in Australia. I LOVE this song, and so when the CD single came out here, I jumped on it. Now, before I continue, let me say again that I LOVE THIS SONG. But...I found the CD on the whole not quite what I'd expected. The radio edit just sounds plain wierd after you've heard the album version, and what is the deal with pop stars re-recording all their songs in Spanish?

And using 'I'll Be Good For You' as an extra song on the single? It wasn't even a bonus track on 'No Strings Attached'. For the 'Bye Bye Bye' single, they at least used a song that we'd never heard it before, namely 'Could It Be You'. Plus, with the three singles off 'NSA' we had instrumental versions, remixes of previous singles and unreleased songs too. Why not this time?

It just feels too me like they're slipping a little in their desire to put out music, trying to get it out too fast and the quality that we know and love them for doesn't quite get there. Don't get me wrong, I am the HUGEST fan of the boys, and I love all their songs, but this just isn't the quality I've come to expect from them. You should definately buy it, 'cause the songs rock, but I know they can do better.

- Great R&B

I'm not normally an *NSYNC fan. I'm into R&B groups like Jodeci, Boyz II Men, Dru Hill, Jagged Edge, groups like that. *NSYNC is normally a little to pop for me, although they have had a few songs in the past that were quality songs. But when I first heard "Gone" it was on an R&B radio station and I thought it was just crazy. It starts off as a light song but as it progresses towards the chorus, it turns darker and into more of a soulful blues song. Justin Timberlake shines on this one, hitting some notes that give me more confidence in Justin as an artist. With Justin's impressive (and surprisingly good) solo album out, *NSYNC is going to be headed back into the studio to record their next album. Hopefully they'll make more songs like this, seeing as how they have the potential to.
