Marion Raven Biography

How Music Became A Part Of Marion Raven's Life

Ever since Marion was little, music has been a special part of her life. As she once said herself "Since the day I started to talk I started to sing". Anyplace, anytime she was singing. Her parents didn't really know where it came from since no one in the family has musical talents. But there she was, at the age of 5, singing with the local church choir. She would go from door to door to sing a song. One time, in church, she ran up to the priest and started to sing a stupid kids song for the whole church. When she was 7 she attended the famous St. Laurentsius choir from Lørenskog. By the time she was 8, she began to play the piano and attended the ballet school. Marion performed on stage with that ballet school and totally loved being on stage. One year later in 1993 she was on stage with the musical "Sound Of Music" on the Norwegian Broadway! Around that age she recorded her first cd, together with other kids, called "Vettene på gamlespor"(Vettene on old tracks).Marion and Marit in Bugsy malone

With that cd they were nominated for the Norwegian Grammy "Spellemannsprisen" in 1997. After making the kids cd, Marion had a party in "Othello" and "Les Miserable" on the Norwegian Opera.
