<p>With THE REMIXES, Mariah Carey presents another compilation that can go on the shelf next to her #1's and GREATEST HITS. This two-disc set features Carey's best bits reworked by a number of famous names in the dance world including David Morales, Junior Vasquez, and C&C Music Factory (aka David Cole and Robert Clivilles). As a thumbnail portrait of this Long Island native's career, the collection balances dance-floor-ready remixes with grittier hip-hop tracks. As a result, the first disc features nine of her biggest club hits, including "Dream Lover," "Fantasy," "Emotions," and "Fly Away (Butterfly Reprise)." Also notable is the Carey/Vasquez team-up on "Heartbreaker/If You Should Ever Be Lonely." Disc two can easily be considered the Mariah Carey rap disc, as many of the songs feature her work with some of hip-hop's biggest stars, including Snoop Dogg ("Crybaby"), Busta Rhymes and the Flipmode Squad ("I Know What You Want"), and the always-outrageous O.D.B. ("Fantasy").

- US Release Coming Soon
This Remix Album is NOT from Mariah. Do not be fooled! Tommy Mottola over at Sony Records put it out in yet another attempt to capitalize off of her talent. The reason the album has not yet been released in the US, rumor has it, is because he is having trouble getting the rights to one of her songs off "Charmbracelet." There is no doubt that vocally and lyrically Mariah is on top of the game. She is the most talented singer I have ever heard. These remixes do not do her justice, but they do offer some really funky and fun renditions to some of her now considered classic songs. Stay Awhile and Make It Last alone will make the album worth buying. They are very different from the original songs, so they are almost like their own song and not really a remix. This album is worth buying if you are a diehard Mariah fan. However, it sours the experience a bit to know that Mottola will be profiting from the sale. Also, look for the US Release, which is now scheduled to be released in October 2003, because that will be one to get, too, if you are a collector. However, if you absolutely can't wait, and you want the few extra tracks on this Import, then order it now. Personally I think any CD Mariah sings on is worth buying.

- AMAZING!
This is the best remix cd that has come out, and will ever come out. It's completely different from your ordinary Remix album, where mariah actually included club mixes, which get you up and movin. Her hip hop based second disc is amazing, which never before heard remixes such as "Honey" (so so def remix), which is one of the better remixes. Or classic remixes such as My All/Stay Awhile, which is some of the first taste of real hip hop that mariah hit us with, (outside of her colabo with odb.) On the first disc, "Heartbreaker/If You should Ever Be Lonely" is addicting! I'M HOOKED! ALL TOGETHER YOU WONT FIND A REMIX CD LIKE THIS...THIS IS THE WORTH YOUR MONEY, AND YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED, IF YOU LIKE TO DANCE, AND IF YOU LOVE HIP HOP, WITH A LITTLE POP FLAVA TO IT, YOU'LL LOVE THIS ALBUM! MARIAH'S BANGIN', AND I WONT EVER STOP LOVIN HER, AND HER MUSIC!

- Excellent, but missing some classics
I absolutely love this cd, but there are some songs that should have made it on the cd that were excluded.
On the house mix cd, she forgot to put in:
'I still believe' remixes by David Morales. They are awesome.
Can't take that away (dance remixes) - that were on the single.
Loverboy (club mix) - which was heaps better than the original.
Against all odds - (pound boys mix)
And on the hip hop cd
'I still believe/pure imagination' - the best remix she has ever done. Its just wrong to exclude this.
'Underneath the stars' (drifting remix) - prett good remix
'Honey' (bad boy remix) - classic.
These songs would have made the cd flawless.

- Finally, a remix album by THE QUEEN herself!!
Finally! MC has a remix album! As MC herself as said, this should have been done YEARS ago, but that's Columbia for you! This is such a great collection of her GREAT remixes, on one CD, club remixes, the other, R&B/Rap remixes. I like the club mixes, great ones of her earlier hits, can't find the singles today, so must have CD. I love Disc Two, but I don't understand why Breakdown, Sweetheart, and Crybaby are on here. I love all 3, but none are a remix? Breakdown does have a remix, but this one isn't it. The CD contains the unreleased song, Miss You Featuring Jadakiss. This song is HOTT, should have been a single, and would have been Mariah's 16th #1!! The video would have been HOTT too. Why Columbia?? The One (So So Def Remix) Featuring Bone Crusher...WOW!! I love the original, but this one is so GREAT!! I don't know why JD isn't mentioned as a guest, he raps a lot? This should have been a single, this song is amazing, 17th #1...I swear, Columbia needs to fire everyone, re-open without Tommy Mottola...he did help Mariah, but he has hurt her by not releasing this singles...these are great songs.
OVERALL--A WONDERFUL collection of her best remixes, however, I Still Believe had some GREAT remixes, they should be on here. Another mistake by Columbia. If you get MC's singles, you have almost all of these songs, but Miss You and The One are worth the price. And if you are like me and love anything MC does, you already have this, this remix album is overdue...but worth the wait, a great album and a MUST HAVE for MC's lambs', or music lovers everywhere. GO BUY IT!!

- Essential Part Of Any Mariah Collection
The most popular female artist of all time is back with a collection of old tunes, remixed and ready for your listening pleasure. While some remixes are new, some are old, but sound fresh enough for today's musical standards. The first disc offers more club type remixes. They are flashy, loud, exciting, very danceable, and long! The songs last from anywhere between 5 and 12 minutes long! The remixed versions are even better than the orginals in some ways, which were awesome to begin with! The second disc offers more of an R&B vibe. The remixes included here are not as exciting as on the first disc, but they are still very enjoyable to listen to. But one complaint: five of the thirteen songs on the 2nd disc are album cuts! Nonetheless, they fit in well with the other remixes. This CD sounds excellent. While it doesn't showcase Mariah's voice as much as a traditional studio album might, the beats keep the songs sounding fresh and interesting. And though they may be a bit long, the remixes don't get boring! Highly recommended for all Mariah fans, great for the casual fan, and excellent for the dance/club music fan! ENJOY!!!!!!!!!
