A great dance song with some good remixes! Some say the "Erotica" era was Madonna's worst...I beg to differ! Deeper and Deeper is my personal favorite pre-Ray-of-Light Madonna song.
So here is the full track listing for the Australian edition of Madonna's "Deeper And Deeper":
1) Deeper And Deeper (Shep's Deep Makeover Mix) - 9:09 - A typical remix for Mr. Pettibone. A slightly more uptempo beat to go along with Madonna's depenadable vocals. This mix is nothing to get too excited over, although all-in-all it is a good mix.
2) Deeper And Deeper (David's Klub Mix) - 7:40 - A heavy piano introduces us to this mix with a nice thumpin' bassline following closely behind before we drop the beats and into the chorus, which brings us into the first verse with that great beat brought back. David Morales shows us how he became one of clublands legendary mixers, with this subtle but effective remix.
3) Deeper And Deeper (Shep's Classic 12" Mix) - 7:27 - This mix by Shep doesn't stray much from the original, because quite frankly, that's what this is. So if you do enjoy the original mix of this song, here's a longer version for you to enjoy.
4) Deeper And Deeper (Shep's Fierce Deeper Dub) - 6:01 - This is an alright dub, with some cool vocal snippets paired along with a very understated bassline. Quite vocal for a dub, but it does work pretty well. Nothing to rant and rave over though. And it does get tiresome after a while.
5) Deeper And Deeper (David's Love Dub) - 5:39 - Much better than Shep's dub, but not as good as David's Klub Mix. Again, mostly consisting of vocal snippets and some deep basslines. Less vocally inclined than Shep's dub, which is essentially what a dub should be. Again, not the best, but not horrid either.
6) Deeper And Deeper (Shep's Deep Beats) - 2:58 - Almost 3 minutes of beats. The name pretty much says it all. Although the beats that are used here, are quite funky and would've worked well as a dub. Uses some really fun vocal snippets including a little something from "Vogue"! Kind of a shame that these beats were wasted.
7) Bad Girl (Extended Mix) - 6:27 - If you like the original version of this track, you should enjoy this mix as well. Just an extended mix of the original. This one is mainly just a showcase for Madonna's vocals.
8) Erotica (Kenlou B-Boy Instrumental) - 5:48 - Funky, Heavy and sexy R&B grooves here, brought to you by the Masters At Work! This is a surprising remix, considering that MAW are house legends, but this works so well! Scout out the "Erotica" single for the "Kenlou B-Boy Mix" to hear this remix in it's full glory. This track is prime for sampling.
9) Erotica (Underground Tribal Beats) - 3:31 - Boring house beats that is basically just three and a half minutes of filler. Again, get the "Erotica" maxi for the "Underground Club Mix" to hear a much better version of this mix.
10) Erotica (WO Dub) - 4:58 - The WO in this mix stands for William Orbit, who I believe collaborates with Madonna for the first time with this single. His 12" remix on (yet again) the "Erotica" single is DEFINATLEY not to be missed. And this dub is quite good as well. Sexy and dark, with some awesome trance elements mixed in with some sleek R&B funk. An awesome dub here, but even cooler is the WO 12" Mix - if you don't already have it - GET IT!
11) Erotica (House Instrumental) - 4:55 - 1993 house music. Very light, plodding and methodical, but at the same time, there is something deeply infectious about it. This one has got those standard basslines and pianos, some cool vocal snippets, but it's highly dated, which is unfortuante.
12) Erotica (Bass Hit Dub) - 4:49 - To the first time listener, this mix sounds pretty much identical to track #11. Heck, to a seasoned listener it's pretty hard to tell the difference between the two. This mix does have a few more vocal snippets that track 11, but if you've heard one, you've heard 'em both.
So the basic rundown on this disc. If you are a hardcore Madonna fan, snatch this one up and add it to your collection, just to have the extra dubs and instrumentals that aren't available on the domestic singles. But if you are not a hardcore Madonna fan and are just getting into the remix thing, skip this disc and pick up the singles for "Erotica" & "Deeper And Deeper".

Chris Lowe of the Pet Shop Boys once said that one of his favorite Madonna songs was "Deeper and Deeper" and he had good cause. Madonna is at her best when she is performing dance music, and this is an amazing dance song.
The single, released near the end of 1992, came at a time when the format of singles were just starting to change. Prior to 1990's Vogue most singles just included dubs, extended versions, and edits. As the 90's progressed artists started to take more advantage of the b-side mixes. By the time Bedtime Stories was released in 1994 Madonna was enlisting the likes of Junior Vasquez, Orbital, and Danny Tenaglia.
Here we find the mixes are done by David Morales and Shep Pettibone. Both do decent jobs, but the real work of art is the original version.
I don't think you can hurt this song in a remix, it's just that great. In 1995 Madonna released a collection of her greatest ballads.
If ever she were to make a collection specific to her best dance tracks, thiis song would most definitely have a home, shining with the best - Into The Groove, Vogue, Music, Hung Up, Holiday...
"Deeper And Deeper" is from her controversial "Erotica" album, released in 1992. This travels through Madonna's old days in the discos. Her highly catchy dance beats attract many to the dance floor. Such high musical quality brings this track to the level of many top disco songs from the 1970's. Her meaningful lyrics are sung wonderfully. She proves on this track that she is one of the most daring artists in mainstream, expressing issues that few dared at the time. This rightfully makes her one of the most respected female artists. Its theme about two men falling in love makes "Deeper And Deeper" one of the ultimate gay pride songs...
"I can't help falling in love. I fall deeper and deeper the further I go."--Madonna, 1992
Its six remixes are also great. Every track is as catchy as the album version. This single is great for any ultimate Madonna fan. This will keep many dancing for many years to come. Those who want to hear more should also buy the album "Erotica", which features this song. Such combination is fun.
i always dug the glowing vibe of this song.i feel it's one of her best dance songs ever.the mixes are hit&miss but the original song is a must have by Madonna.the video is a trip as well.
