As of Dec 09; Amazon is showing this as SPANISH. With a BLUE and BLACK colored box. Yet if you'll look you'll also see a PINK and BLACK box that is SPANISH and comes out late January 2010. CONFUSED?

There is also the ITALIAN version as well which means they are all concert footage from various cities based on language.

This plays on NTSC compatible equipment. The Italian version I also have plays ONLY ON PAL DVD players and sometimes TV's that accept PAL. Check your equipment first before purchasing.

The SPANISH version of this CD/DVD set comes out in late January 2010 and will be titled:

'LAURA LIVE GIRAL MUNDIAL 09'

I have the Italian version already and needless to say, it is STUNNING in performance. I was fortunate enough to see Laura both in Florida and California during the World 09 Tour and this brings back such memories of two of the most exciting nights of my life.

I especially enjoy the fact that while we all know these songs for the most part, Laura has seen fit to tweek them a bit into newer and more 'ROCK' versions; which is when Pausini is at her best.

There is no actual 'flow' to this concert as each song is performed in a different venue/city/country.

Paulo Carta (her boyfriend or more???) is now her 'Musical Director' and played a major role in the World Tour 09 CD/DVD. I love Paulo as a band member but in my opinion only (just my opinion) I heard the musical changes and not for the best in her PRIMIVERA studio album.

Buy this! Excellent in any language...

As the self-declared number one Laura Pausini fan in Canada, I wasted no time in ordering this product the moment I discovered it. I'm glad that I did so. Let's start with the boring stuff. The DVD is brilliantly edited and recorded. Unlike her other concerts, the World Tour DVD occasionally has snippets of video recordings taken from the audience. While not of the same high quality as the official recordings, these semi-frequent snippets do manage to add to the immersion of the experience. The concert DVD is made up of songs from the various different performances during Laura's World tour in 2009. While nearly every song is performed in a different location from the prior song, the entire DVD manages to maintain the feel of one concert. That being said, I definitely did miss Laura's usual (albeit brief) dialogue between every few songs - a victim of the editing process.

The performances are brilliant in this DVD! In typical Pausini style, the entire concert is performed with not a single song being lip-synched. In addition, several of the more prominent songs in the concert were performed in new ways - in some cases surpassing the breathtaking showing of the original tracks.

While this product is a no-brainer for any hardcore Pausini fan, I feel I should mention a few things which make this product a real gem. First, being a region 0 DVD it will work in any DVD player. This means regardless of where on Earth you happen to live, you may use this product. Second, this is a DVD/CD set. The CD holds only Spanish tracks (unlike the DVD which is roughly half Spanish and half Italian) with a good mix of old and new songs. The third and final bonus in this set is the host of special features included on the DVD. Along with several music videos (two of which I had never seen before), there are numerous other special features which stretched my first viewing of the DVD out by about an hour or so.

In summary, this is an excellent addition to the collection of Laura Pausini DVDs available and I highly encourage anyone who loves her music to purchase this set. I do NOT recommend this for someone who is looking for a real concert DVD however as this DVD is actually a collection of snippets from various concerts (almost every song is performed in a different concert/location). If you are looking to add to your collection of Laura Pausini concert DVDs/CDs, do not hesitate to purchase this product - it is well worth it.

I love Laura Pausini, but it was very disapointing the lack of care that the editors put into the spanish version of her World Tour DVD. Her italian version DVD editing is much more profesional, but it really seems like they did not care at all for the spanish version. All you see is the people who went to the concert. I was disapointed. If it wasn't because I went to her concert and keep the good memories....

I am happy with the quality of the CD, but the not the DVD. The DVD seems a little out of Sync. My first time buying a combo, but DVD looks like some one took it from their cell phone.

I rather listen to cd than watch dvd, they made a mess out of the special effects on the dvd. What a shame because it's so nice watching Laura Pausini perform, she doesn't need any special effects in her videos. It almost looked as if they were trying to make her look slimmer than she is. Cd part is the best. Four stars because cd is worth buying on its own.
