Disco de Laura Pausini: “Live in San Siro [DVD]”

You've got everything here, an amazing performer, PRO musicians, huge stadium, and 70.000 souls singing from the beginning to the end.

I have the other two concerts (World Tour 2001-2002 and Live in Paris 05), but this one blew my mind.

Usually, when it starts raining in a concert we think, oh man! show's over, not this time, Most of Laura's videos include rain and water scenes, so basically, you now have that Pausini touch, LIVE!.

As usual, Laura's performance is powerful and impeccable, her voice causes that chill feeling all over your body.

I've been following her since 1994 and I don't remember seeing her dance like she did in this video, I loved it.

What I liked the most was that they include Ascolta il tuo cuore (from Le cose che vivi), which is my favorite song.

Between the new stuff, Favola which is one of the most complete songs, where the band and backup singers get the spotlight, Y mi banda toca el rock mixed with La isla bonita, now that was a surprise and then that salsa-like touch, beautiful, there's also an acoustic version of surrender, etc.

Laura scores another hit with this DVD concert. I wish I could have been there to experience it live. This is the closest I'll get until she tours again hopefully soon in the USA. Some of the songs are better on her last DVD concert, Live from Paris, 2005, and she connects better with her audience in smaller venues (as does any preformer), but this new one has its gems as well. I like some of the medleys they put together. Let's face it...she can't sing them all in one night! I enjoyed the bonus footage of the concert preparation and thoughts of Laura by those who work with her. One of the most charming and talented voices ever! And bravo for her band. Not even the pouring rain affected there playing and singing. Thank you all for an enjoyable experience, and sorry I wasn't there to represent her spanish-american fans from California. We await your presence again, Laura! Hey...how about a audio CD of the concert? That would be cool.

I was disappointed by this video's overall production. Cameras rarely focus on Laura for more than 5 seconds and they move around quickly and change very often. This makes it difficult to appreciate the artist and the venue. Sound is only acceptable in two or three tracks. It must have been an incredible concert and unfortunately this video doesn't portray the artist or the environment well.

You gotta love Laura!! She releases a single in Spanish, and the Latin Grammies can't wait to have her appear. The World Music Awards can't wait to reward her for Yo Canto.

Now she's outdone herself. This DVD is the most amazing combination of great music and downright incredible devotion, to and from her fans.

If you like Laura, you will LOVE the music, the elemental beauty of a great star at her best, and just plain good vibes form many thousands of devoted fans. Her band is sensational, and this DVD is just wonderful.

It is a very good quality overall, I recomend this concert/DVD, it is worth every penny.
