- Buy this if you like dance music!

This is one of the best imports I have. This version of "Keep on Pumpin It" is one of the best dance songs I have in my huge collection. My "favorite tracks are 1, 2, 3, 7, 10, & 11 with "What Do I Have to Do?" (UK remix) as the second behind "Keep..." for my lauds. This released in 1993, not '98 or whatever the listing says here. In the cover photo she is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. Buy this if you like dance and def. buy if you like Kylie! --Kurt kirton@iol-12.net

- Certainly one of Kylie's best albums EVER!

This album features remixes of the hit singles from 1990s RHYTHM OF LOVE and 1991s LET's GET TO IT albums. These tracks were,at the time of release in 1993, the highlight of Kylie's career. And they arguably still are. After this 1990-1992 era, Kylie (in my humble opinion) went on to just-as-good, maybe better things, when she signed with hip record label 'deconstruction'. With them she released two excellent, crdible albums. Sorry to digress, but my point is this: AFTER 1998, IE Kylie's last release with 'deconstruction', we never again heard good music from her.

I don't know which of her albums, since signing to 'parlophone', in 1999, is worse. They are all tasteless, energyless, uninspired, and her voice now has a dreadful shrill, nasal tone, that was not so before. To see for yourself, listen to any of Kylie's 'Parlophone' music and then any of her music up to 1998. See the difference. just think of how utterly dreadful Kylie's music got after her last 'normal' release in 1998, "GBI" (with Towa Tei). I say 'normal', since this was Kylie being herself - not being manufactured and commercialised to appeal to 5 year olds. She used to be cool, credible and had a cracking voice and great material. Think of CONFIDE IN ME, PUT YOURSELF IN MY PLACE and my personal fave, WHERE IS THE FEELING? Also Kylie excelled with SOME KIND OF BLISS, BREATHE and the amazing, wacky, and marvellous GBI. Nowadays she "sings" cheap, tasteless, camp, watered-down, bland, and revolting tracks like SPINNING AROUND, PLEASE STAY, IN YOUR EYES (dull, flat vocals), RED BLOODED WOMAN and I BELIEVE IN YOU, to quote just a few.

Sorry to go off at a tangent, but get the point - Kylie's music is not worth listening to if it was released after 1998. THIS remix album, however, ROCKS! The US mix of BETTER THE DEVIL YOU KNOW is ace and so is the walkin' rhythm mix of STEP BACK IN TIME. WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO? uk remix, whilst not as good as the pumpin' mix is still stylish and original. SHOCKED dna mix - extended, is wicked.

Then we have the 12" version of kylie's fantastic, hip-hop styled WORD IS OUT, with its jazzy, dance beats. A unique track. Then, the superb extended version of her soulful duet with Keith Washington, IF YOU WERE WITH ME NOW. The 12 "version of the huge club hit KEEP ON PUMPIN' IT (with Visionmasters) is absolutely FANTASTIC. One of her best ever moments - it really lights up the dancefloor with originality and energetic style.

The 12 "version of GIVE ME JUST A LITTLE MORE TIME is poppy, refreshing and reminiscent of the style of the singles from Kylie's 2nd album, ENJOY YOURSELF. This is not a bad thing. The Brothers in Rhythm 12 "version of the beautiful ballad FINER FEELINGS is so ambient and flawless.

And finally, B-sides DO YOU DARE nrg mix and CLOSER have style, danceability and credibility. CLOSER is mature and trancy in places. In short, some of Kylie's BEST WORK.

- A disc everyone should already own!

This is by far one of the best remix discs out there. The songs arent repetitive and Kylie sounds better than ever. The remix of 'What do i have to do?' is far superior to the album version. Once you've had your fill of this one, look for Kylie's 2000 "Light Years" disc. Another winner...
