- The Irresistible Princess
I was a bit skeptical of buying this new repackaging of songs Kylie Minogue did under the Deconstruction label in the mid-to-late-90s... but I'm a big fan of hers and am always happy to hear remixes, which this compilation includes several of.
"Confide in Me: The Irresistible Kylie" includes -- along with the songs from her original Confide in Me album (which I already own) -- songs from that time period of her career that many later fans (post-2000, Light Years) may never have heard, great dance tracks like "Falling [in Love]", "Nothing Can Stop Us" and "Where has the love gone".
This is a good album to pick-up if you are (like me)... eagerly awaiting her next studio album. This is a GREAT album to pick up if you (like me) like having a good dance beat while you workout or go running.

Why is this so good?
Well, I have always been of the opinion that Kylie's Deconstruction Era was the best for her, musically, even though it pretty much faded her into obscurity in the 1990s. Much of this music is pretty 'inaccessible' if you're a regular Minogue lover, and a lot of it is techno-electronica, with a very dark, goth edge to them. This is exactly the kind of genre of music that I love, so obviously I jumped at the chance of owning this.
Think of this album as an amalgamation of her "White Album" (1994) and her "Impossible Princess" (1997), alongwith some fine remixes thrown in. Together, its quite a formidable package. In fact, you wouldn't really need to revisit those two albums once you have this single set in your possession.
Kylie's Deconstruction Era was never really understood properly - and not many people know and appreciate her musical output from this time period. Here is a chance to find out for yourself what a musical genius this woman actually is.
I personally rate this higher than the "Ultimate Kylie" compilation. In fact, this is the best compilation album of Kylie's out there currently. Plus, it even includes her best ballad - "Dangerous Game" from 1994. What else could you ask for?
Five Stars.

- Enjoy this Kylie confection with a cocktail...
For those of you into the lounge/chill scene, give this one a try. This is Kylie grown up. Elegant, classy, infectious - perfect. Imagine being in a swanky little cocktail bar, cocktail in hand, and the smooth pulsating beats of some Kylie minimal club beats in your ear. That's exactly what this collection is. This isn't your regular radio friendly, run-of-the-mill Kylie, this is Kylie Deconstructed.. all the best from her days with her Deconstruction lable. Some of her, if not totally her best work. Smooth vibes, deep beats, brooding synths, this is Kylie...chilled.
For those of just recently turned on to Kylie, I'd recommend this collection along with her mainstream collection "Ultimate Kylie". For the more adventurous and eager to dance, I'd pick up a copy of her latest "X" as well.
Fav track - Gotta Move On.
- Excellent CD from the QUEEN of pop...
There IS no comparison (though there is competition between some of their fans, obviously) between Madonna and Kylie Minogue, I KNOW what some have said, but PULEEEZ - 20+ years of highly talented and irresistably delivered music! Her songs are inspiring. SHE is an amazing singer/writer and the music is sooo fun to listen/dance to. Madonna is aggressive and sort of crudely obvious, sometimes - but admittedly she CAN rock AND write a good lyric. Kylie can do both and is a TRUE pop Queen; she rocks and is romantic at the same time...so there")

- Not Kylies best, but a good CD
This was a good CD but is mostly songs from the fist half of Kylie's musical life. Good if you don't have some of her early work but not if you have many of her CD's.
