- I Believe In Traveling 5000 Miles For A Kylie Concert
From the moment Kylie begins her concert with what is widely considered to be Kylie's biggest song ever (well everywhere but America) Better The Devil You Know to the last encore song of Love At First Sight Kylie shows us why she is the ultimate Showgirl.
Her concerts are what concerts should be all about. Fun, fun, fun!
I had seen Kylie before for here Fever tour, which was incredible and on my top five concerts of all time.
Kylie Showgirl was worth the 12 hour flight to London from Houston, 2 hours of sleep, 4 hour train ride to Manchester, where as soon as she came out I was no longer tired!
My favorite part of the concert is the Smiley Kylie part. Great 17 minute medley that begins with Shocked and ends with Spinning Around.
And the projections! So fun! Smiley Kylie's are the best, they are made to look like covers of UK magazine ID. And the lyrics are projected to appear to be part of the magazine cover. The ID logo is replaced by KM2, just incredible.
And then there is the male dancer "shower" scene, where they start off in the shower and then put on jeans only and dance to Red Blooded Woman.
Other stand outs: I Believe In You, Hand On Your Heart, Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi, Come Into My World, On A Night Like This.
Highly recommended, Kylie has made the transition from pop princess to Pop Queen on this concert.
Also noted, Kylie had to cancel her tour shortly after this concert was filmed, so clearly she was not feeling well when the concert was filmed, but you cannot tell at all, it seems like Kylie' opening night even though the show that was filme was the last of her 7 London concerts.
Get well soon Kylie!

- A review from a huge Kylie Minogue fan!
Okay, you simply must read this review if you are considering this, or anything to do with Kylie Ann Minogue in any way. I am from the U.S.A., so Kylie is not as big here as in Europe. I have purchased many items from overseas just to hear Kylie (this was not one of them). When I first saw her in her music video "Can't get you out of my head," I was hooked. I had to get her. I went to WalMart and found 2 CD's with that song. I purchased hers (the other was a NOW CD), the "Fever" album. From there, I now have 6 CD's (not including bonus discs) and 3 DVD's from Kylie Minogue.
About Showgirl: The Greatest Hits Tour. Here is the concert track listing on the back of the box and then I will tell you about the concert and the other concerts she gave:
1. Overture
2. Better the devil you know
3. In your eyes
4. Giving you up
5. On a night like this
6. Shocked
7. What do I have to do
8. Spinning around
9. In denial
10. Je ne sais pas pourquoi
11. Confide in me
12. Red Blooded Woman/Where the wild roses grow
13. Slow
14. Please stay
15. Over the rainbow (from "The Wizard of Oz")
16. Come into my world
17. Chocolate
18. I believe in you
19. Dreams
20. Hand on your heart
21. The Loco-Motion
22. I should be so lucky
23. Your disco needs you
24. Put yourself in my place
25. Can't get you out of my head
26. Especially for you
27. Love at first sight
Look, she sang 27 songs and the running time for this DVD is approx. 2 hours according to the box. DVD Extras include:
1. Behind the Feathers--Backstage Documentary
2. Screen Projections
3. Showgirl ROM Section
Kylie does sing all of those songs listed, but she has to go faster than what you would hear on a CD because of how many she had to sing. For example, "Chocolate" on the "Body Language" album is approx. 4 minutes long. However, she did a "radio edit" version found on the "Ultimate Kylie" CD, therefore it is played less than one would expect. This could be both good and bad. Good if you wish to get to the next song quicker (there are plenty to go around!) and bad if you really like the song and like watching Kylie perform it.
Now, one last thing. I know some songs are missing. Let's take the song "Light Years" from the "Light Years" album. If you wish to see Kylie perform that song live, check her out in the "Live in Sydney" DVD. That one is her last concert from Australia, her home town. It was made in 2001 (Showgirl was made in 2005) and has a running time of 2 hours 7 minutes. The track listing is as follows for "Kylie: Live in Sydney":
1. Love Boat
2. Koocachoo
3. Hand on your heart
4. Put yourself in my place
5. Medley: Step back in time/Never too late/Wouldn't change a thing/Turn it into love/Celebration
6. Can't get you out of my head
7. Your disco needs you
8. I should be so lucky
9. Better the devil you know
10. So now goodbye
11. Physical
12. Butterfly
13. Confide in me
14. Kids
15. Shocked
16. Light years
17. What do I have to do
18. Spinning around
DVD Extras include the following:
1. Promo video for the hit single "Spinning Around"
2. 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround
3. Backstage footage
4. Subtitles in English, French, Spanish, German, and Italian
Well, from a huge Kylie Ann Minogue fan to, hopefully, another, "Thank you for flying KM air. We hope you had a pleasant flight. Please, fly with us again" --"Light Years".

- Absolutely Amazing!!
I first ordered this DVD from amazon.com and was disappointed when it didn't ship right away. Then someone on Kylie's official forum said that Canada's cdplus website had NTSC versions in stock, I canceled my order and went through that site instead. I actually saved a lot of money ordering directly from Canada instead of buying from the US and having to pay an import cost.
The show is absolutely amazing from the opening song of "Better the Devil you know" to the last song of "Love at first sight" (Fever version).Kylie has redone a lot of her songs to give them a fresh sound. There are so many highlights for me. The beginning of "On a night like this" is so beautiful-it's sounds like a ballad and then goes into the normal dance version in the second verse. This is the first time I've ever heard Kylie sing "In Denial" and the dancer that dances through that one through "Confide in me" is amazing, I believe his name is Jason Beital(sp?). "Confide in me" is also given a makeover and it is so great. It's probably been the song that I've watched the most. Kylie and Jason perform a little dance in the middle of "Confide in me" that is one of my favorite parts of the whole show. "Over the rainbow" is of course one of the highlights and the image of Kylie on the moon is gorgeous. "Come into my world" is also perform while she's on the moon and it became a beautifil ballad. "Dreams" is finally performed in full for the first time and it's really worth wait. That is one of Kylie's most powerful songs ever and when I listened to it the day that Kylie announced she had breast cancer, I got teary-eyed. "Hand on your heart" also got a make-over and the mix of it is really great sounding and it'll get stuck in your head-not that that's a bad thing. "Loco-motion" continues to be jazzy-sounding but it's different than any other version that she's done. I prefer the "Fever" live version better but this one is great as well. "I should be so lucky" sounds almost exactly as the 1987 version and the dancers perform it in sign language. "Especially for you" is another highlight with the audience joining in.
All of the songs are great and there isn't one dull moment in the show. The "Behind the Feathers" documentry is a great highlight and it's fantastic to see some of what goes on behind the scenes. There is a small clip on there of Kylie talking about her tour family that was filmed, I believe, on May 2. This is where a member of the band, Chris Brown, proposed to his girlfriend. I kind of wished that they had shown the whole clip because it sounds like it was a really sweet moment. This DVD is a must for any Kylie fan and hopefully everyone will be able to get their copies soon. There's talk of Kylie finishing the tour in 2006 and she might slight alterations to the show so there's something to look forward to.
"Keep believing in dreams!"

- Best Showgirl on Earth!
I flew to Paris back in March specifically to see Kylie perform at Le Zenith. I knew that she would never tour the USA and because this tour was considered "The Greatest Hits Tour", I knew I had to see it.
Kylie's concert was phenomenal. From the moment she took the stage with "Better the Devil You Know" (my favorite Kylie song of all time) and walked off the stage with "Love At First Sight", I was captivated. She looked better than ever in all her costumes and I was mesmerized by her vocal abilities. When she sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", I shed a tear.
I have all of her previous concerts on DVD, but it was exciting to hear all my favorite songs performed live for the first time. Believe it or not, I've been a fan since she first hit the music scene in 1987 with "Locomotion" and have followed her career throughout the years, buying all her CDs as imports.
Kylie Minogue is one performer who only keeps getting better with time! If you are a fan of Kylie or have never experienced her live, then this is a must-have DVD for your collection. Take it from a fan of almost 20 years, you will not be disappointed.

- PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT
Forget Iraq, foreign policy, or economics, THE WORLD SHOULD HATE US FOR NOT LOVING KYLIE MORE! Why is this Pop Princess cult status in the USA? Yet we love Britney???? and Jessica Simpson????? WHAT ARE WE THINKING.
But this is Kylie at her best. For those of you not familiar with her old stuff.... consider this a chance to familiarise yourself with the 20+ years of Kylie music! Her best concert yet.
