I love Kate Ryan. It's a shame that she is not as well know in the US as she is in Europe and Canada. This CD is fabulous. My French is limited but I still enjoy it. If Kate Ryan records it, I will buy it.
"French..." is a concept album, which includes only french songs. Some of them had been released earlier, some recorded especially for this cd.
Kate is famous for her covers and she doesn't disappoint us here. We get such classics as "Voyage, voyage", "Evidemment" or "Babacar" in brand new versions. Among them shine already known singles as "Libertine" and "La promesse".
This is a cd to dance and it works perfectly on a dancefloor.
There are 3 extra mixes available here. In case of "Desenchantee" (new version) we received a mix much better than the original. It was played during her concerts last year too.
I have only one regret about this cd. Lack of french version of "Je t'adore", her Eurovision offering. It is really a gem in her dancing queen tiara and what is more important it is her own song.
Kate has a wonderful quality to her voice. The songs she sings in French are a pleasure to listen to over and over again. Terrific rhythms ... good to dance to.
