- Only Juanes can beat Juanes
Except perhaps for Alek Syntek and to a certain extent Miguel Bose, there's hardly any serious Spanish-speaking competition for Colombia's very own Juanes. Therefore, practically, only Juanes can beat himself. But, in spite of the praise for "Mi Sangre" and its inarguable sonic qualities, his third album falls a bit short behind his first two efforts. He just set the bar too high for himself.
"Mi Sangre" offers a blend of contagious styles that will catch the unaware humming a tune or accidentally tapping your feet. And if Spanish is your language, you'll find the album also to be amusing on a certain level, with a type of humor that Carlos Vives had us a bit more used to. Those familiar with Colombian people know this blend of humor lies at the heart of this great people, so Juanes and Vives simply do a great job at putting music to it.
In sum, though "Mi Sangre" can move those who don't respond to practically anything, Juanes still needs to work to top his first and, mostly, his second album, "Un Dia Normal".

- amazing
I don't understand why this CD has gotten bad reviews[well, not too many but still..]. Juanes has such a great deal of talent. Honestly, "Mi Sangre" is a beautiful CD. He speaks about love, politics, concerns..every song is different, and he has the ability to sing a ballad and a more rock oriented song with absolute ease.
The lyrics are absolutely beautiful, as well. If you can't understand them, you can at least feel something when you listen to his music.
"Mi Sangre" is very different from "Un Dia Normal" and I think that's what makes it amazing. While I LOVE "Un Dia Normal", the fact that he sounds different with each CD shows Juanes' talent. His music never gets stale, and I STILL listen to Un Dia Normal daily.
He kind of reminds me of Nirvana[my favorite band of all time]. not his music, but the fact that he can change his sound with each song, and each album, and that shows his genius. Buy this CD, Juanes is absolutely astounding.

- A lot of Heart
The thing that separates Juanes from most spanish rock is the ammount of heart that he pours into his music. It is a heart with purpuse which presents how it suffers from the terrorism in Colombia while at the same time making the music something that you can sing along to and let your heart flow with...
There is definitely a little bit of Beatles in this album in particular and those who like Juanes' harder side will also find something to love in this CD. Like with the best musicians it becomes dificult to say which album is the best but this one is certainly a must buy...

- My family loves Juanes!!
We all love this CD!! After listening to this CD over a thousand times, I am thinking about his previous CD's. My 2 year old daughter even knows half of the words to "La Camisa Negra", we play this CD so much! My favorites are "Para Tu Amor", "Amame" and "Volverte a Ver". I think that Juanes is a very talented individual and I wish that I had caught on to him a lot earlier in his career. I hope he stays the same and never, ever crosses over.
