- Jennifer Rush in a beautiful mellow mood

This CD is so romantic. Although Jennifer Rush is known for

dance songs and ballads this CD consists of beautiful and

sexy ballads. Her version of Cheap Tricks "The Flame" is

sung with such emotion and passion--it is beautiful. This

song is beautiful anyway but Jennifer Rush's version is

simply amazing. She also does an excellent version od

"Piano in the Dark' The song "Sweet Thing" has a Motown

sound to it. "A Touch of Paradise" and "Healing Power of

Love" will leave you breathless. This is the CD which

shows a whole new side of Jennifer Rush.

- Beautiful noise

This is a lovely album. More mellow than her outstanding Jennifer Rush cd but equally fantastic. From the title track "Credo" which opens the album to the stunning closer "the places you find love" there is a feast of aural delights. miss this and miss out!

- Quiet-storm R&B from Jennifer

Jennifer Rush has previously flirted with R&B in her career, but this album is her most consistent exploration of the style. She sounds fantastic, with her deep, soulful voice at times sounding reminscent of Annie Lennox. Here, she has put together a mellow collection of mature tunes that would make a great complement to a candlelight dinner. Favorites include a lush cover of Brenda Russell's "Piano in the Dark," a showstopping reading of Stevie Wonder's "All in Love is Fair" and the shimmering "Deeper Within."

It's not all ballads: "Sweet Thing" feels like some long-lost Motown classic, with its happy keyboards, blaring sax and chugging rhythm. The thoughtful title song, written by Richard Darbyshire from the '80s pop band Living in a Box, features a gospel choir, as do two other cuts on the disc. The choir is a nice addition to Jennifer's sound, but her magnificent voice, of course, remains at the forefront. This disc shows how nicely Jennifer has matured, and how her taste in material is still superb.
