Hi-5 Album: “Jump and Jive With Hi-5”

We have been eagerly awaiting this CD and were so excited to receive ours today!!! For those of you who do not know who Hi-5 is, check out The Learning Channel (TLC) at 7:30 on weekday mornings or the Discovery Kids channel at 7:00 & 10:00 (I think) on weekday mornings!

The songs on this CD and the voices are good enough to be pop hits but thankfully, not annoying or offensive. Each performer (and you can check out the other review of this CD for more details about them) sings wonderfully and with great energy.

My family has been fortunate enough to see this group perform live 3 times. Listening to this CD gave us chills all over again and reminded us of how amazing they are.

I have a 6 year old daughter and a 2.5 year old daughter. BOTH girls love listening to this music and even the 2.5 year old has mastered many of the lyrics. It is hard for either of them (or their Mom) to sit still when this music comes on.

I can't compare this group to any other children's music out there because nothing else really compares. The songs are quality, the voices are fantastic and the beat is great! I am even considering using it for my work-outs :-).

One other personal note - I have met the members of Hi-5 at each of the performances I attended. They are so kind, sincere and patient with each of their fans from the youngest to the oldest. They seem to genuinely care for their fans and for the music/show they are creating. While I know we were very lucky to have met them and not everyone who buys this CD will get that opportunity I wanted to be sure that you all know that these are people who care about your children!

A little over a year ago, we stumbled upon Hi-5 one morning. Since then, we've been hooked. We have grown to love the music, skits, and personalities! We appreciate the education included in this show and the fact that they take it well beyond the alphabet and numbers. As an early childhood educator/researcher by trade, I can go on and on about how the foundation of early childhood education involes much more than just letters & numbers! It is programs like this that make a positive difference in the lives of our children. This generation is laden with too much negativity. This positive contribution to American television should not be undermined by anyone. I only hope that Hi-5 can gain an afternoon television slot at some point as, though sad but true, kids get home from school and stick like glue to the television. Programs such as Hi-5 is what they need to be watching.

Hi-5 has 3 dvd's released and now this CD, this CD is an ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE for every family. The music included will not only make your little ones faces light up, but will be sure to get them up and moving. You too might find yourself dancing right along to these easy to dance to songs! Learn the real dance moves from watching the DVDs or program on television, or make up your own. Either way, you'll find yourself LOVING this CD!

My daughter loves the American Hi-5 group. She dances and sings to this cd in the car on a regular basis, not to mention watching the show on TLC. It is a cd that she enjoys and one that even I (her mom) enjoy listening and singing to. This is a must have for children!

Isabella is about to turn 2 but has been a #1 fan of Hi-5 for quite a few months. The show is entertaining enough that her Daddy has no problem sitting down and watching a show (tivo) with his Princess when he walks in from work. She has no interest in TV unless it's Hi-5 which we are happy about. Though because she loves the music so much she was asking for it 24/7. Wanting to limit her time in front of the TV we bought her the CD which she enjoys as much if not more!

We happily dance to it in the house and sing along in the car.

My mom and my little brother really love Hi-5. I'm 10, and I also love them. They have great songs to dance and sing to and I think its really great when my mom starts to dance all the dances with my brother. They remember all the steps from the TV show (on TLC and Discovery Kids)and they just have a really good time. I usually make fun of them, but its really funny to watch.
