- 100% GOOD!
It's one of the best music from Gwen Stefani. I love this song. It has a good collaboration with Eve.(Eve doing very good in this song and the video clip). The lyrics is much more better (and softer) than Hollaback Girl (The s^^t is bananas... urggh...). The beat in this song is very good too! It's very enjoyable. About the video clip, this video has a very brilliant idea. Like some other video from Gwen, this video also has some Japanese unsure. And the cover... they look beautiful. Overall, it's very good. I love this song! As soon as I heard it for the first time on 102.7 Da Bomb, I was waiting to see who wrote it. It was Gwen Stefani and Eve. This song is mainly for kids, but I guess adults can listen to it too. My favorite songs of hers are Hollaback Girl and Rich Girl. I hope more songs come out soon, I know they will be great! - "Like an idiot on the roof"
"Rich Girl" is Gwen Stefani's infamous rap/reggae version of a beloved musical number from the classic "Fiddler on the Roof." Gwen Stefani is great with No Doubt,with their pop/ska sound,but her solo efforts are left wanting. "Rich Girl" is the usual disposable bubblegum pop.
Gwen Stefani does her updated take on the classic,as if dumbing down a classic makes it more attractive to the young 'uns. "Rich Girl" is an unholy blend of Broadway musical sensibility with rap and reggae,all making it into an awful glop. Avoid.

Bringing out some sort of "Tribute to Paris Hilton" song by simply covering an old song and giving a ragga feel to it - is SIMPLY BORING. So far Stefani did not convince me as a solo artist. it's all high marketing |
