- One of My FAVE Songs
I love Gwen! Forget the weird lyrics (Gwen's just weird that way)--the tune and beat is perfect! Besides, it's not really about "bananas". It's really about some type of football game or something. Whatever. You just *have* to love this song!

I will take the time to actually REVIEW this single not like other people. The single opens with the original version of "HOLLABACK GIRL" then gets very TECH-HIP-HOP with the Hollatronix Remix by Diplo - who now works with great new comer M.I.A- and it ends with the INSTRUMENTAL version and the video is included....but there IS A CATCH! The remix is only 2:44 minutes but for all of us who love BANANAS there's a new remix by Tony Kanal which is 6 minutes long and its great!

- That Girl's Gone Banamas, B-A-N-A-M-A-S!
This is the awesome CD single by Gwen Stefani. You get the uncensored, album version, a fast and fun 'Hollatronik Mix' and an instrumental version of the original song (great for karaoke). You can also pop it in the computer and watch the video!
As far as the 'bad language' goes, I think the cover of the CD says it best: "MODERATE impact coarse language." I mean, even the Gorillaz album had harder language than this, and they're only cartoons, for crying out loud!
To the reviewer who thought Diplo's excellent 'Hollatronik Mix' was too short, it IS short, but that's because it's the length of the original song, taken at a faster pace, so it ends sooner! Just hit repeat...it's holla cool!
Why should one like the song? It has many things going for it, and not just for those who like to cuss (although that's O.K., too!). Strange synthetic tuba, mock-cheerleader chants, Downtown-NYC-style sampled acoustic guitar (as in TLC or Cibo Matto). etc., all make for a bouncy, yet somehow haunted groove. Gwen's double-tracked vocals are full of smirky fun energy; she's obviously having a blast. It's like the perfect summer single...
MY only problem with this CD is that they should have included the Radio-Friendly censored version. Not only is it the version used in the video and on radio, but the censored version has eight more bars of intro beat which are really cool, and make Gwen's surprise vocal entrance more surprising. It's not like there wasn't room for another version!
Anyway, this review has lasted longer than the single itself! Just get it, and learn how to spell 'bananas' with Gwen!
- the most oustanding track of her solo career.
Gwen was so ahead of her time with this track along with Pharrell W. It started the new sound of pop this decade.Definetly an edgy track.

- I said This S@#T is Bananan's!
I bought this single and love it so much. When I bought LAMB Gwens album I loved this song from day 1. Then everyone liked it was on the radio. I highly reccommend this single anything that has Miss Stefani.
