- Superb recording of wistful and haunting beauty

These are authentic native american songs, for the flute and reeds. The sound is, admittedly, different to typical American ears, but there is a beauty, a wistful quality, to the melodies. There is honest emotion here. The musicianship is superb. Many times, the flute imitates bird songs, and the trills and sound the performers get from their instruments are fantastic. Yeah, I liked this CD. You'll find similar music on "Native Spirit" and "Cries From the Earth", and all three as a boxed set under the name "Native Spirit".

- Spirit of the wind Music.

I really enjoy the music. It lets you go about doing other things while you are listening to it. also if you can sit and meditate while you are listening to this you will find yourself falling into a deeper meditative state, Thank you Will do business with this seller again.

- Very Enjoyable CD

I didn't know what this would be when I purchased it but played it while driving along in the car and found it to be not only very spiritual and calming but very enjoyable music. I also enjoy Amazon's prices.

- Calming and somewhat relaxing...

For the money I found this to be a very nice collection of Native American/comtemporary music, really more than I expected. I purchased Spirit of the Wind in a boxset with Cries from the Earth. Both are very nice but I prefer most of the pieces on Spirit of the Wind. There are one or two pieces in which the volume of the flute recording is far too high for the rest of the piece and is done in too strong a manner, in my opinion but aside from that I am enjoying the collection and listen to it often, especially when I need to decelerate and uncomplicate my mind. For the price it is a very nice earthy deviation from all the other stuff I listen too including computer and TV noise. Thanks.

- Beautiful Music

I ordered the 'Native Spirit' CD, however I received the 'Spirit of the Wind' Cd. After checking the songs I found that the music is from 'Native Spirit' and the CD box is from 'Spirit of the Wind'. Why the mixup? I am not sure, but hope that whoever is responsible gets their act togeather.
