- Don't say your love is killing me

Erasure is by far my favorite (synth)pop group of all time. Their music is irresistably infectious and a constant joy to listen to. I have loved them since I was in college several years ago. My favorite Erasure song has to be "Don't Say Your Love is Killing Me" from the group's underrated "Cowboy" album. I just love how the group manages to combine melancholy lyrics with fun, upbeat pop melodies. Erasure also does some of the best cover songs I have ever heard. One of my personal favorites is their rendition of Blondie's "Heart of Glass". I didn't think anyone could succeed in covering a Blondie song but Erasure did and a very good cover at that. The remixes for "Don't Say Your Love is Killing Me" are really good I thought but then again I actually like the song. I really liked the Jon Pleased Wimmin Flashback Vox which gives the song more energy. Very euro-popish. The Tall Paul mix is good but doesn't really have that same energy that the Jon Pleased Wimmin Flashback Vox has. Still it is good in its alright. I was terribly disappointed that Erasure did not include this particular song in with their recent best of compilation, let alone a lot of songs from their more underrated albums (i.e "Erasure", "Cowboy", and "Loveboat".

- good for only one song

I don't like the original version of this song or the remixes. What makes this CD worth it is Erasure's live remake of Blondie's "Heart of Glass." This adds to their renditions of Abba, Judy Garland, and other camply classics. It also proves that Andy Bell can sing falsetto just as well as Debbie Harry, very entertaining.
