- Mystical experience

With the imminent release of Enrique's latest album Escape it's great to contrast it to his earliest. These songs were written when Enrique was a teenager insecure about himself and in love with the world around him (as teenagers often are) His songs definitely come from the heart and if you understand the lyrics you can easily relate to the simplicit complexity of Enrique's emotions. The best song on the album is undeniably Experiencia Religiosa you can listen to it forever and never grow tires. The smooth rock sound of Si Tu Te Vas is definitely another fan fave and listening to it you can almost hear the legions of fans singing along in concerts. Not to be a one track horse the tempo lifts slightly with Muneca Cruel written by Rafel Perez Botija who is responsibe for many of Enrique's upbeat pop songs. Muneca Crual is the most distinct song on the album and the listener is taken into the song completely unaware and is floored by a facet of Enrique that otherwise would have gone unexplored on this album. In short this album is perfect for nostagia, rainy days, and for when you're depressed. It's an essential for all those old romantics....in short buye if you appreciate good music buye this CD.

- Beautiful

I bought this years ago, played it to death, and lovingly placed it on the shelf. Just listened to it after a long time and realized how fresh and romantic it still is. Every track is a gem, and I almost hate to admit his subsequent CD's aren't as satisfying. Nevertheless, this CD, as power-ballad-packed as it is, puts Enrique head and shoulders above fluff like Ricky Martin.

- Excellentisimo! What else is there to say?

Enrique has a young and unique version of his father's voice. To deny his talent is pure hypocracy or ignorance. And the songs are as romantic as any Spanish melodies could be. I listen to them repeatedly over the past couple of years and never tire. It's time for more Latin music in America!
