Enrique Iglesias Album: “Greatest Hits”

Enrique Iglesias Album: “Greatest Hits”
Description :
Personnel: Enrique Iglesias (vocals).
The 20 tracks on 2008's GREATEST HITS testify to the truth that Enrique Iglesias is no stranger to the pop charts. With special emphasis on hits from late 2000s albums like 7 and INSOMNIAC (including the hits "Not in Love," "Push," and "Somebody's Me"), this satisfying collection brings together the cream of the Latin heartthrob's ballads, dance tracks, and sleek adult contemporary fare.
Naturally, super smashes like "Hero" and "Bailamos" are included, but GREATEST HITS also features two new songs: "Taking Back My Love" is a duet with the Grammy Award-winning Ciara, while "Away" was penned by industry heavyweight Sean Garrett (who has written for Usher, Fergie, and Pussycat Dolls, among others). The result is the definitive representation of the Latin pop icon's talents.

- Latin Heartthrob has something for everybody!!

This is a terrific collection that spans the first decade of Enrique Iglesias' recording career to the mainstream masses, although his career started more than 10 years ago before that, when he first started recording in Spanish.

This greatest hits set contains all his big hits in English, and literally offers something for everybody---his moving ballads, some dance tunes and a few duets, my favorite being the Diane Warren-penned, 2000 release, "Could I Have This Kiss Forever", with Whitney Houston. This collection is proof of how varied an artist Enrique Iglesias has always been in terms of his music.

Mr. Iglesias has stood the test of time, since he first burst onto the mainstream music scene over 10 years ago, during the Latin-explosion of the late 1990's. Unlike his latin-counterparts who were also breaking into mainstream recording at the same time (Ricky Martin, Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez), Enrique seems to be the only one out of the original "Latin 4" who has had continued success in the Pop and Adult Contemporary music genres.

This collection should indulge, entertain and satisfy any music lover, young and old.

Of special note: Amazon also offers the 2-Disc Import Set of this same collection, the difference being that the Import version contains a bonus DVD, featuring Enrique's Greatest Video Hits as well. Enjoy!!

- Excellent Greatest Hits Album!

Enrique is the best latin male artist ever. He has a sexy voice and sings from the heart! He puts his heart and soul into his songs. If your a fan, then you already have most of the songs that's on this album, but there is a few extras on it. "Away" is very heart felt sad song. Love the tone of the song. "Takin Back My Love" is a great pop song, with a good beat. It's a song that's about breaking up, but has you feeling sexy for some odd reason. This album has some of the best of Enrique's songs. Like "Addicted", "Somebody's Me", "Escape" "Bailamos" and the muched loved "Hero". It's a really good combination of his best, so buy it and enjoy!

- Wow!

This is my first-ever Enrique Iglesias album...wow, wow, WOW! I have a new love...I love his style, I love his voice, and well, he's not hard on the eyes either. His songs are beautiful, and I love the Spanish style he weaves into them.

- Great Music, bad artwork

Enrique Iglesias, Is by far my Favorite Male Performer I was so excited to hear of a greatest hits package.

The music as always from Enrique is the Best, But being that I am a creative person I have to say you can tell the record company through the package together very quickly. The pictures of Enrique Are very good but, the CD itself is plain White no artistry at all and the booklet, dull no lyrics.

I already know the lyrics but to have them included would of been nice , and the chart positions would have been nice to see. this booklet is very thin with just pics and a tracklist, very boring. and the cover could have been better as well.

With Enriques awsome talent he deserves better than a quick thrown together CD.

SO OVERALL: MUSIC ***** 5 STARS

ARTWORK: ** 2 STARS
