- amazing cd!
if you get this cd you will NOT be sorry! its really amazing! and theres so much creativity packed in it. its just really amazing. i mean this cd really "MAkes ME HAppy". i also recommend his 1st cd "telegraph" which i would also so rate it 5 stars. my favorite songs in his cd would seriously be every single song except "end it good". BUt all you have to do is skip it if u dont like it. but i love this cd. BETTER Than all the 60 cds I Own.
JUST buy this cd. YOUll fall in love with it and if youre not already in love with drake than get really to fall for him too :)
- Surprisingly Good!
I have always been a big Jellyfish fan, and was really bummed when they broke up several years ago after only two albums. But Drake Bell's style is extremely similar with very catchy hooks and well designed harmonies/melodies. Forget this artist's tween stigma and give this CD a try. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
- Too Rushed - Could Have Been Better
I have bought both of Drake Bell's albums "Telegraph" and "It's only Time". Whilst I found "Telegraph" to be relatively deepwith a great deal decent music and intelligent lyrics, "It's Only Time" is much more of a manufactured pop record. The fact that many of the songs sound the same will be down to his new major label putting the pressure on to get it out (notice that it came out only just over a year after his debut). This album is hastily compiled with few tracks of any real substance whatsoever. There are a couple of reasonable songs notably "Makes Me Happy" and "Fool the World", however these were intended for 'easy-listening'. The most engaging track is the acoustic version of his earlier hit"I Found a Way" which still to me as if it is just a way of filling up the tracklisting.
My advice: Buy "Telegraph". Then if you are looking to make the transition on to a less passionate, more manufactured album, by all means by "It's only time, and on Drake Bell's next album, listen to a couple of tracks before buying anything. It coud go eihter way as Drake Bell proved that he has the potential for a good album with "Telegraph". Let's hope that next time he puts effort into making a good album, rather than rushing out a less than mediocre one.
- Drake Bell, the David Cassidy of modern times.
This cd is cute for what it is; something for sighing preteens to buy to feel closer to drake bell XD - at least, that's why my niece wanted it. so if you've come here looking for something with deep meaning and innovative stylings, you're looking at the wrong cd - you'd be better off with steve vai like one of the other reviewers suggested. but if you find yourself in need of bouncy-happy fluff that doesn't require much thought, you're in the right place :D and hey, sometimes you need the fluff - no matter how old you are XD
