Donna Summer Album: “I Got Your Love [Single]”

With a catchy electronic bassline in the style of Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out of My Head" and a perfect pop music melody and chorus (you can't get the line "I Got Your Love, it's all I ever think about" out of YOUR head once you hear it), the original version deserves massive airplay. And what's great about this single is that Donna gets treated to big room anthem mixes by a variety of great remixers including Rosario, Baez, and LEX. Unfortunately, there are a few promo mixes that were left off this single, including a Richard Vission mix, which would have been more welcome than en EDIT of the LEX mix which is already included in its full version. Not to mention--why do we get an edit of the original mix, considering it's not available anywhere else??? I was also kind of hoping the unreleased Hani club mix of "Power of Love" from the Luther Vandross tribute CD would have been on here.

This has got to be my favourite song of the year. Wow!!! Donna Summer proves she's still got it with this sensual piece of dance/pop perfection. The mixes are awesome.

Great song! Donna's vocals are perfection! I love her abiblity to belt out a tune as well as soften a lyric when the words and music call for it. The best mix here is the Ralphi Rosario mix by far. The Eddie Baez mix had to grow on me. Although it's slower than Rosario's, I still like it. The LEX mix does not get my attention. I'm not loving that one! I give this cd single a 4 just because of LEX, not Donna:) Otherwise, the mixes are just great.

Well, here is Donna Summer again! The only voice from the disco age which still matters! No one can give extra power to songs as Donna Summer does. We had some powerfull songs in recent past like "I Will Go With You (Con Te Patiro)", "Love Is The Healer", "Love On And On", "The Power Of One" etc. Very good remixes were made of such songs! It seems that Donna's vocals fit every mood, style or mix. Every sound she produces is perfect stuff to mix and alter. She even records extra vocals for the mixes! Incredible in every sence! This Lady still rocks and can split diamonds in half whitout any difficulty. Studies have to be made about Donna's vocal skills! Very recognizable and not to be compared with current artist. She still remains supreme. Sadly enough we still have to wait for a full length album. I fantasize about an album filled with dancefloor hits and more... perhaps a double like the old days? Cher did it, and Madonna came back to her dance roots. Donna is capable to do the same and even far more better! What a party it would be!! But ok... buy this one.. and listen to that voice! Or dance yourself dizzy... Donna is still there and my jaw still drops the floor... amazing, incredible Donna.

People say Madonna is back with a vengence with her new album, but let me tell you,with I Got Your Love, DONNA SUMMER is back!!!! Donna's vocals are thin, airy, light, and AWESOME. This is her best song shes released since her early eighties hit "The Wanderer". I got your love has a bassline similiar to kylie minogues cant get you out of my head. In fact, i can hear kylie singing this song and doing very well with it. But its not kylies....its donnas and Mrs. Summer runs with it. I got your love is bouncy, confectionary, unabashed pop music. Its so sad that this song is not getting played on the radio because it deserves to go to number 1 and stay there for weeks. Hopefully, very very soon donna will bless us with a new full length album. One of the best, if not THE best song of 2005!!!!!
