Very nice song - not sure why it's not on the main CD. If you hate "Lose My Breath," "Game Over" is a nice remedy.
Once again, before I go to my opinion of this song, I have to defend the girls of DC. First of all, I would like to say that while a certain reviewer was hasty enough to stand up for Anita Baker, they contradicted themselves by not respecting "all musicians," as they said when defending her. I do not believe it's true that without Ms. Baker DC would not exist, because these girls went through hell to get their stuff on the radio, and, with or without Ms. Baker, they deserve praise for their hard work and talent. I'm not saying that Ms. Baker did not have struggles as well; I just feel that one should give credit where credit is due. Also, to the reviewer who said Kelly and Michelle didn't have a chance to shine, the song Bootylicious was a smash, and Kelly had the first verse. The same goes for Emotion, and their new single Soldier.
Anyway, about the single...
After a 3-year hiatus, DC is back to making smash hits with catchy, clever lyrics, and are just as their fans remember them, only better, because they've had a chance to mature and grow as solo artists. each of the members contributes to this club anthem in her own way, and their superb harmony is evident throughout. Even people who have never danced in their lives will have a compulsive desire to move to the beat, and the fact that every one of the ladies has a chance to show off their vocal talent is a plus, too. This also holds true for the other track on this disc, game Over, which is a sultry mid-tempo with lead vocals from all 3 ladies. It's so refreshing to know that things get better and better, and with Destiny's Child you won't be disappointed.
Lose My Breath is such a great song I can dance all day to it. Deatiny's Child dhas always brought it down and they know what it's all about. They got soul and bit. Lose My Breath is one of my favorite song it can make you just move to there bit.
I love both of the songs, but Game over more so b/d it has an old vibe. Not like old as inthe 60;s or anything like that, but more so an old Destiny's child vibe. Makes me think of The Wrtings on the Walls.
Destiny Child had made it again. With an impressive single's chart at billboard, their upcoming album - Destiny Fulfilled will be a surefire number 1. This song (Lose My Breath) keeps me dancing. They are the only female group that I appreciate very much.
