1. Cater 2 U (Album Version)- the radio version we love so much
2. Cater 2 U (Storch Remix Edit)- a new R&B crunk "in the club" type beat. for those who like to dance and party to the down south type music. rock guitars and heavy bass & synths make this one a remix to remember!
3. Cater 2 U (Grizz To The Club)- this remix is more on the romantic and sexy side of R&B. samples the original into melody, but transforms this song into a new hip sounding R&B groove. more reminicent of the original than any other remix i've heard.
4. Cater 2 U (J. Beck Dance Mix)- this is the club mix we've all waited for but didn't like. the key in this song is horrible to me and should have been swapped off the single for the Nu Soul Mix or another dance version. this version samples the original's into melody also but takes it in a downward spiral from there. this is not a dance remix that will be popular in the clubs....
5. Girl (Maurice Joshua U Go Girl Remix)- a very classic maurice joshua remix. used the orignal version's melody in the chours, but isn't quite at the mark for me. the regular maurice joshua remix found on the "Girl" import single will be well worth your time!
Overall, this single is at a lower standard than most destiny child singles that are packed with hard-hitting stellar remixes. if you're a fan like me it will be appreciated, but if you only like the song for the song, splurge and buy the whole album for a better deal!
I disagree wholehaertedly with the first two critics. Actually I wonder if we were listening to the same tracks. 'Cater 2 U ' is the best track on the album and I will go as far to say it will nab the trio at least 2 Grammy Awards for best performance by a duo or group and best R&b song! These remixes are stellar and compliments to the original version. Kudos to the remixers who had to be creative to put a spin on a quintessential perfect R&B record. This isn't a pop song and finds the girls in soul mode were they perform best.
I am fan of both club and RnB Music so this Cd really caters to me. So I like the single. The remixes are very easy on your ears so they are also listner friendly depending on your mood or your emotions so this song is versatile to anyone. Anyways very nice song and I like the original version as well. Happy listening guys!!!
