For all the fans of Destiny's Child, these oldest hits, along with new hits. Are sure to blow your mind away. And the extra DVD includes a few videos of their most awesomest hits. You'll be sure to Love it.
Overall I'm just going to end this review with one word that describes this:
Outstanding
So, not all the songs were techincally "number ones"...who cares? This greatest hits album, including almost all of their hit singles, rocks nonetheless! All the biggest DC hits are featured on this album, including their four Hot 100 #1 hits (I can't believe they don't have more!): Bills, Bills, Bills, Say My Name, Independent Women Pt. 1, and Booytlicious. This album is everything a top 40 music fan could want: from hot club-bangers to smooth, mellow R&B and sexy urban/hip-hop tracks, this collections shows why DC is the best-selling and one of the most popular female groups of all time! From their debut with the sexy No, No, No to their latest and last single (hopefully not!) together, the beautiful Stand Up For Love, DC has solidified their place as future legends in music. Classic hits like Say My Name and Jumpin' Jumpin' sound just as good as they did when they were released and songs like Survivor and Lose My Breath just never get old!
The new track Check On It by Beyonce feat. Slim Thug is destined to get overplayed at a station near you, while the last track of the album Feel The Same Way I Do, is a solid, if not great, R&B track. The DualDisc edition, which I do not have (I would have bought it if I could, but I wasn't able to find a copy), is a great bonus to this already amazing album! It features IMO, DC's most popular and hottest videos - No, No, No Pt. 2, Say My Name, Independent Women Pt. 1, Survivor, Bootylicious, Lose My Breath, Soldier, and Cater 2 U! Videos I loved that I wish were on here are Jumpin' Jumpin' and the new video for Stand Up For Love!
Of course for diehard DC fans, they will be disappointed at the exclusion of singles like Get On The Bus, Nasty Girl, Bootylicious (Rockwilder Remix) and other singles or remixes, but all in all, this is DEFINITELY an album you'll want to add to your collection!
Here's a quick rundown of my ratings for the tracks:
1) Stand Up For Love - 4.5/5 (Beautiful way to end a beautiful career!)
2) Independent Women (Pt. 1) - 5/5 (DC's biggest hit ever...'nuff said!)
3) Survivor - 6/5 (One of DC's all-time best and most powerful and memorable tracks!)
4) Soldier (feat. T.I. & Lil' Wayne) - 4.5/5 (A HOT urban track with awesome raps!)
5) Check On It (Beyonce feat. Slim Thug) - 4/5 (A good track that'll keep Beyonce career smokin'!)
6) Jumpin' Jumpin' - 5/5 (A sexy classic...one of their best!)
7) Lose My Breath - 5/5 (Hot dance track that'll get you movin'!)
8) Say My Name - 6/5 (The song that made DC into superstars...again 'nuff said!)
9) Emotion - 4.5/5 (Lovely cover of the Bee Gee's classic and sung with LOTS of...emotion!)
10) Bug A Boo - 4/5 (One of their lesser-known hits, but a real fun track!)
11) Bootylicious - 6/5 (HOT HOT HOT! Got to be one of their best hits ever! It's their ass-shaking hit!)
12) Bills, Bills, Bills - 5/5 (Their first #1 is one of their best!)
13) Girl - 4/5 (One of their weaker singles, but really grew on me - very nice vocals!)
14) No, No, No Pt. 2 (feat. Wyclef Jean) - 5/5 (Their breakout hit that started their rise to stardom! A real classic!)
15) Cater 2 U - 4.5/5 (Very beautiful song and one of their hottest videos ever!)
16) Feel The Same Way I Do - 3.5/5 (Could have been a much better track to close the album, but it's not bad. Mixed feelings, but still a nice R&B track!)
So there you have it folks! The last (hopefully not) album from the world's biggest female group! What a great musical journey - I'm gonna miss them! Hope they continue making hits as solo artists and that we'll see a reunion some time!
mostly of all their videos are my favorite they are the best r and b group of all time next to salt and pepper and tlc but those two groups were not only r and b singers each group had a female singer who could also rap a little bit my favorite destiny's child hit is surivor, independent women, bootylicious, same my name, no no the remix, crater to you, solider, i know i am missing other famous destiny's child songs tha i also enjoy but these are the songs that quickly stand out the most in my mind honorable mention song is girl that was an okay hit i also have to give a decent comment to michelle willams from the group who looked better than ever when she wore that short fur shirt on the 2004 music video solider she almost overshadowed beyoune and kelly rowland by a tad but not by much the way michelle was moving her little skinny body in that fur shirt or coat made me realize she can be almost as sexy as beyounce and kelly while not as pretty as kelly or beyounce she is a decent looking who will have many men do anything she wants them to do especially when she wears sexy outfits that she wore in the solider video
DC3 Brings ther final and last Album together! I LOVE stand up for love because it signifies the big hearts these ladies have !! I hope to see work from all of them whether they are togther or single. I happen to think that Michelle is a great gospel artist though!
Destiny's Child, with Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams, with over 50,000,000 records sold, slipping over TLC, call it quits on their first and last tour for their album "Destiny Fulfilled".
With collection, we have all the hits y'all. From the club songs "Soldier", "Jumpin' Jumpin'", "Lose My Breath", "Bug-A-Boo", along with the slow songs "Emotion", "Say My Name", "Bills Bills Bills", and "Cater 2 U", and the songs about woman independence "Independent Woman" and "Survivor". The disc also includes three new songs, "Check On It" and "Feel The Way I Do", which are Beyonce's new singles, and the last group song "Stand Up For Love".
Destiny's Child has proved that they are talented people. From their soulful singing, to their beats, etc. Picks on their greatest hits collection would be "Jumpin' Jumpin'", a true club song that's still going from Writing's On The Wall, "Bug-A-Boo", starting a new word for an uncaring man from their first album, "Say My Name", "Independent Woman", among with many others. They have also proven nice writing talent throughout their songs, writing about many differnet subjects and keeping R&B fresh.
However, the end of Destiny's Child has come, and it's time to put them in the invisible R&B Hall Of Fame. It's no wonder Destiny's Child were the best selling R&B group, their talent, lyrics, and heart (well, maybe Beyonce...remember she's the one that is the talent hog) made them there. A definite 5 star collection.
