- This is a great CD!
I'd never thought I'd like Debbie Gibson, but I guess I was wrong. Most of her songs on this CD are great, and I aboulutely love them. I personally like "Out of the Blue", "Foolish Beat", "Only in my Dreams" and "Shake Your Love". They are all good songs. She is very talented and mauture for her age. Although I wasn't a teen back then, I have heard of her. If you like 80's music and are a Debbie fan, then this CD is for you. This CD gets me going whenever I listen to it. I like pop music and 80's music for that matter too. Hope this review is helpful to you.

- She is Awesome!!!
I am 14 and wasn't around when Debbie Gibson was at her prime, but her music is better than Britney Spears or Christina Augulira's music. I first heard of Debbie Gibson on VH1 Classic. I have seen almost all of her videos there. Unlike other female singers, she wrote her own music. This album is a collection of her awesome songs. My favorite songs are "Only In My Dreams", "Electric Youth", "Staying Together", "Lost In Your Eyes", "Shake Your Love", and "Out Of The Blue". I recommend this album to anyone who loves '80s dance pop.

- A Nice Collection From A Talented Young Lady
Debbie Gibson along with New Kids On the Block and Tiffany ruled the late 80's and early 90's with their pleasent bubble-gum pop. The big difference was, Debbie did most of her own writing and producing. All of her big songs are on here including "Only In My Dreams", "Shake Your Love", "Out of the Blue", "Electric Youth", "Foolish Beat", and probably her biggest hit "Lost In Your Eyes." I bought the album mostly for the song "Only In My Dreams", but discovered the awesome pop tune "Out of the Blue" which is now probably my favorite. The rest of the songs were minor hits and nothing to make much noice about. There are also two good remixes of "Shake Your Love" and "Only In My Dreams." For someone who was a teenager in the late-80's, this is a good nostalgic trip. Or for someone who just likes good pop, this is worth checking out.

- Cheap compilation of (mostly) worthwhile material
This CD came out in 1995, which was two years before I got Internet access, and several years before online purchasing became the order of the day. So, although I've been familiar with Ms. Gibson's music since her second album 'Electric Youth' in 1989, I didn't really know anything of this release when it first came out. And since I did find out, it has taken me several years to actually come around buying it (on CD - I got the cassette for very cheap a couple of years ago).
The reason why I only rate this release with two stars is because of the downright cheap compilation. Included are nine tracks in their original album versions. Any good Greatest Hits compilation will use the single version, as they were played on the radio etc. And it will bring some extra value for the fans who will most likely already own the original album release.
My suggestion is that you skip the domestic US/EU release, and head straight for the Japanese import, as it includes two bonus tracks: the Japan only singles 'Without You' and 'Eyes of the Child'. While I wouldn't rank these among Deborah's top tracks, at least they mean some extra value for money.
Even more importantly, though, I would suggest all of her original albums. Her later efforts are not bubbelgum, but high quality pop!

- True Teenage Talent...
During the late 80's, the teenage pop era was at its peak. Included in this movement along with New Kids on the Block and Tiffany, was Debbie Gibson. While the two ladies battled for surpremecy at the top of the charts, they both belted out many a great tune. The only difference is that Ms. Gibson wrote her the majority of her own material, and what a fantastic job she did. Many of her hits include "Electric Youth," "Only In My Dreams," and "Out of the Blue," all included here. As well the beautiful piano piece "Lost In Your Eyes," my fav, is found here as well. This greatest hits package covers her first three albums and is an excellent showcase of her early career. I recommend this to anyone who is a child of the 80's and can't help "Losin' Myself" in memories every time I pop this disc into my player.
