Using the cover of What's Going On for this hits package is a great choice. Very eye catching, dynamic shot. Wow!
The only drawback is the leaflet. A very succinct history of Lauper's career. No chart positions, which album the songs are taken from etc.
And Sony, where's the video collection? She Bop was hysterical - the part where Cyndi shoved a burger into the mouth of a leering man.
True Colors The Best Of is easily the most detailed package and is a great update to the earlier Twelve Deadly Cyns.
`True Colours' is a double best of collection from this eighties icon and whilst Lauper is still creating decent music these days, it is still great to listen to this and relive good memories.
This has all the hits you would want, as well as some others thrown in for good measure. `Time After Time', `True Colours' and `Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' are all here and sound as fresh as ever and tracks I love like `She Bop' and the Goonies track are also here to please her fans. With two discs worth of music you get a great selection of her tracks and if you only wanted to buy one album of her stuff, then this is a pretty good place to go. You may want to go and check out more after hearing this, but this will keep you going until you do.

This CD was full of all the hits that we remember from Cyndi Lauper. I am getting ready to order a new one. My grandaughter took the other one.
She made the right move when she went from riding racehorses to singing as she can really sing.I love her music and have them all. GREAT ALBUM
I just got this collection today. I probably could have gotten by with She's So Unusual and one of her prior hits albums, but I just HAD to own "Hole In My Heart (all the way to China)". I love Vibes, what can I say.
This is pretty much the choice cuts from her first four albums as far as I can tell, plus a few soundtrack picks. We get all the big hits from the debut, and almost all of the next two albums. For me it was nice to obtain "Iko Iko" and "The Faraway Nearby", as I only had the True Colors album on vinyl. My only complaint would be the non-chronological running, and that the booklet has nothing in it other than a weak bio. Still, the tunes are here, and the sound is satisfactory to my ears.
