- Absolutely Great Stuff

If you don't know the difference between Spears and Joplin, don't bother with this DVD.

Lauper is absolutely amazing. She has an incredible voice and is a consummate entertainer. I was completely enthralled with her and her band's performance.

All live performance DVD's should be like this one. The sound is utterly incredible. The filming is perfect. There's nothing flashy or artsy to distract from the experience.

On a personal note: Lauper is sexier than ever. Not that she has been, but Lauper has far too much class and talent to be called a Diva; nonetheless, she sure can sing circles around so many of today's pop icons.

You will not be disappointed.

- If you like Cyndi, you will LOVE this DVD!

I remember when Cyndi went to Brazil to promote A Night To Remember and I couldn't go to the show because of my age (I was 12 at the time) but I wanted to see her live so badly that I asked my mom to take me to the stadium and we stayed outside in the car listening to the concert, it was amazing!

At the moment I live in London and I had already booked a 5-day break in New York a couple of months ago when I decided to go on-line and check if there were any good concerts on and to my surprise I found out that Cyndi was performing at the Town Hall. I booked the tickets and was counting the hours to the show.

That was quite a night! Cyndi was so great, she sang my favorite song (I Drove All Night) and the songs from At Last sounded beautiful, even better that the studio versions. She was so talkative and natural and her voice...oh my god I never heard such wonderful voice in all my life!

After the concert I was over the moon and as I walked through the (almost) empty streets of New York I thought about the show and felt such a buzz, I was happier than I've been in quite a long time...now I am counting the hours to the release of the DVD...it's so cool to know that I will be able to watch the show again and again and the fact that was part of it makes it even more special! Thank you for you Cyndi!

- A GREAT PERFORMANCE!

Do not let the price fool you, this is a high-quality concert! Rarely have I seen a live concert DVD (or video) with this quality. The picture, the sound, and OH! Cyndi Lauper's performance!

The songs she sings on this DVD are as follows:

At Last--Which she performs with amazing talent and strength.

Stay--A nice song with a great story before she begins to sing.

I Drove All Night--She performs this one brilliantly.

If You Go Away--Good song.

All Through The Night--She sings it great live-which is hard to imagine.

Walk On By--Very well done.

Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood--Outstanding performance!

She Bop--A slower version of the song, and done with a new kind of attitude.

Sisters Of Avalon--A good song from one of my favorite albums!

Change Of Heart--She really gets into this one with the foot stomping!

True Colors--Great, great, great!

Shine--Vocals are always strong, and on this one-brilliant!

It's Hard To Be Me--Nice story at the beginning, and she gets into this one a lot too.

Money Changes Everything--OUTSTANDING!

Unchained Melody--This has to be a hard song to sing live, but she pulled it off. It shows her vocal talent, and she is superb.

Time After Time--One of her biggest hits, and the song is done great!

Girls Just Want To Have Fun--She seems to be enjoying herself!

DON'T GET ME WRONG--every single song on this album is great-brilliant! I gave a list of the songs she sings, and what I thought of each song. She is truly a remarkable entertainer, and she proves it on this DVD. Anyone who is interested in her music should buy this DVD!

- In Complete Awe...

I attended this show with some casual fans of Cyndi Lauper's, back in March when it was taped at Town Hall, and the verdict was..."My God, this woman is simply Amazing"...They were in complete awe of her, as I have been for 20 years plus. Her ability to take complete control of the stage and keep an audience mesmerized for the time she was up there performing is not an easy task. But Cyndi Lauper makes it seem effortless. She truly shines throughout the entire concert, and proves that she is one of the greatest vocalists from the 20th century right up to the present day...This will be a MUST HAVE for anyone who wants to be thoroughly moved and entertained...

- Ten bucks???????

I can't believe that's all this DVD is going for. Bless you, Cyndi!! There's so much on this DVD, so much quality and laughs and tears, that I can't believe it's not selling for double the price.

I'm not one for concert videos normally, and I also thought the "Live In Paris" video from years ago didn't capture the excitement of a Cyndi show. But this... This is just so extraordinary.

Cyndi is at the top of her game. That voice. Where does that voice come from?!?! My boyfriend was watching it with me and said, "She's a SOUL singer!" And she is. I love how she makes her voice sound so different, often in the space of just one verse. She had me on the edge of my seat waiting to hear what note was coming next. (I was scared she was going to have a breakdown during "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" - watch out, Tori Amos. :)

What's also nice is that you can tell how much care went into the production. The colors, the angles, the pacing: it's seamless and so much fun to watch.

I just watched the whole thing, so it's fresh in my mind. Cyndi's tour of where she grew up is priceless. The outtakes made me laugh my face off. "True Colors" made me cry. The hardcore fans are going to eat this up, and the casual ones are going to have a blast discovering it.

Cyndi, thank you so much for this DVD. Your passion and talent are on full display, and I for one am deeply inspired. It's a gift to your fans - and also to your little boy. Years from now he'll be able to see and hear what made millions of us adore his mother so much.
