Culture Club Album: “The Best of Culture Club (EMI)”

Culture Club Album: “The Best of Culture Club (EMI)”
Description :
A cheap but serviceable budget compilation, THE BEST OF CULTURE CLUB wisely focuses on the group's best albums, 1982's KISSING TO BE CLEVER and 1983's COLOUR BY NUMBERS, including only one song each from the other two. 1986's "Move Away, " in particular, is a nice bit of Philly soul. <p>The selection is excellent, gathering all of the group's A-sides to remind listeners that Culture Club were possibly the best pop-soul act of the early '80s. You can't argue with songs like "Time (Clock of the Heart)," or the moving piano ballad "Victims."

- Possibly The Best Budget-Line CD Ever?

Culture Club have many compilations in print, most of them ruined by having Boy George's later inferior solo work tacked on to it. This budget-line CD is really all the casual fan needs, containing all of the band's Top 40 hits, including the much-maligned (but still fun) "The War Song".

As is the case with most budget line CD's, I would imagine that the sound quality here isn't as good as on some of their more "proper" best-ofs. If you're that big of an audiophile, the recent "VH-1 Storytellers/Greatest Moments" collection would probably serve you better.

My only complaint - the failed single "Mistake No. 3" (a decent ballad) isn't here. Small error though. This is a very good Culture Club greatest hits set.

- Boy George!!!

AWESOME collection of songs by Boy George. I know all the words to these songs and I even listen to it in the car while driving to Muskegon. Great CD to buy at the store in the ''Cheaper CDs'' selection. The track list is from KTOBC (3), CBN (5) WUWTHOF (1) and FLTH (1).

Trck List

1.Karma Chameleon (CBN)

9.It's A Miracle (CBN)

A must have!!!!!

- be on the look out!

Check this out! I was in Seattle a couple of weeks ago, doing some cd shopping and came across this cd, and the moment I looked at the playlist I was hooked. I had no intention of even buying The Culture Club. I don't know about the one featured here, but mine was a import and contains 16 tracks, for 10 or 11 bucks(brand new).

1.do u really want to hurt me?

2.white boy

3.church of the poison minds

4.changing everyday

5.the war song

6.i'm afraid of me

7.it's miracle

8.the drea(from electric dreams)

9.time(clock of the heart)

10.the dive

11.victims

12.i'll tumble for ya

13.miss me blind

14.mistake no.3

15.the medal song

16.karma chameleon

Now i'm not a huge huge fan, but i like them a lot. To me, this is all the culture club i will need. I guess some people are talking about some song "move away", well it's not on mine. I don't remember the song and dont miss it. I was 5 or 6 when they were at their peak, so i could be missing something, I doubt it though. If u find the import u should stop, pick up, and purchase.

- Great budget compilation

I bought this CD for five bucks, and you certainly cannot go wrong with a price like that. This CD has all of CC's hits, including the critically panned Top 40 single, "The War Song".

I always liked that song, and never understood why it was so hated. Yet listening to the song nowadays, it takes on a whole new meaning, and is still an enjoyable, yet politically-charged, song.

Of course, you also have other classics like "Time (Clock of the Heart)" (a favourite), "Karma Chameleon" and the lovely ballad, "Victims".

I love the classic hits!!! This CD is a great addition to my collection. I love the 80's and the 90's. I find this music to be comforting and fun!! I can play this while I'm cruising down the highway or taking a road trip. Totally necessary for your summer collection if you're feeling nostalgic!!!
