- If Spanish Train is a five...
I waited for this cd with great anticipation as I am agreat fan of Chris de Burgh, have been since Spanish Train. Chris is at his best singing stories (like St Peters Gate on this cd) and of course his melodic ballads and love songs.
Is this cd worth having? Absolutely! He experiments more (Natasha Dance is like a Russian folk song, When I think Of You runs verse into chorus in an interesting way)and his melodies are still excellent. And his voice? Still pure and still capable of changing from haunting to edgy in the same line.

- Quiet Revolution--aptly named
Quiet Revolution is Chris de Burgh's best album since Spanish Train and Crusader. He's dropped the trendy sounds he tried to incorporate into his music during the late 80's and early 90's. He's back to the old (and successful) Chris de Burgh that shone during Spanish Train and Crusader, which in my opinion were his best albums--til now! The ballad is back in Quiet Revolution with more great "stories." The music is absolutely addictive. The small investment for this album will reward you with payoffs for years to come. It is a must for any Chris de Burgh fan.

- De Burgh Improves With Age
I have heard a couple of Chris's greatest hits CDs, and there are just a few songs I liked. But on this 16 track CD, there are only 2-3 duds. I'm the kind of music guy who is lucky to find 2 songs on an average CD that I like. But "Quiet Revolution" is loaded with quality pop music and romantic ballads. Before I heard this CD by chance, I, like most people in the USA, just knew Chris De Burgh as that "Lady In Red" guy. Not anymore baby!
"Quiet Revolution", along with De Burgh's 2002 CD "Timing Is Everything", shows that he writing and recording better than he ever has in his career. It is a shame that most of the hip-hop brain-dead music mainstream in the USA don't know good Chris De Burgh has been in the recent past. More people in Europe and the UK do know.

I brought this album when it was first released, shortly afterwards i went to see him in concert and he preformed these songs live... the audience were captivated.
My favourite of the album has to be st peters gate..... i was spell bound..... my heart was in my mouth ... if u shut your eyes u could almost see him standing there at st peters gate
- well pleased
I am very pleased with the Chris deBurgh CD that I purchased. It was delivered well within the promised time and was in the condition promised. I am looking forward to dealing with that vendor in the future.
