- High On Emotion!

Made in CAN in 2001, Serial# 069-493-032-2, Playing Time 72:02

Album #18 for CdB, this time a "greatest hits" format that concentrates on music from the 80's, with a few exceptions.

This North-American issue is the counterpart to the 2-disc european set "The Ultimate Collection", with significant differences in selection.

Here are the sources of the material, in chronological sequence: track 14 from "STAOS" album, tracks 1+2+11+13 from "The Getaway", track 15 from "MOTL", tracks 4+12(edit) from "Into The Light", tracks 6+8 from "Flying Colours", track 9 from "STOF" and track 5 from "Quiet Revolution"; track 10 is a remix from a song off "QR", while track 16 is originally a bonus track from the Canadian pressing of "QR"; there are also 3 "new" tracks: track 2 is a somewhat rockier version of a song from "FC"; track 7, a duet with Shelley Nelson, is exclusive to this compilation (other than on the single), while track 17 is the french version of the song "A Woman's Heart".

The disc blends nicely the various energies CdB puts in his albums, and is a great place to start in his discography; it also serves well as a "best of".

Definitely worth adding to your collection!

- why buy a best of?

why would you buy a best of album?

A) well there are new songs and new versions of songs to listen too. I would recommend only to true CdeB fans, everyone else should just buy the studio albums better. You would miss the feeling of the time, if you only listen to "greatest hits". CdeB is the most amazing artist I have ever come across I have followed him since 1977 so I say start with FLYING COLOURS 1988, then MAN ON THE LINE 1984 and if your not completley hooked try one last gasp of INTO THE LIGHT 1986. If after this you don`t like CdeB, I give up.

ENJOY
