This is the one Cher compilation that most people don't own, and everyone really should, for it features rare, vintage disco tracks from what I think is Cher's best era, her TAKE ME HOME disco period, featuring other key album tracks like WASN'T IT GOOD, SAY THE WORD, and the amazingly over-the-top- "rock" roller boogie disco opus HELL ON WHEELS! Most people have forgotten these tracks, but they're really worth re-exploring. Extra points for the CD's re-creation of the original LP art, including the Bob Mackie inspired get-ups, WOW! Those were the days!
I think that this Cher album is just great. It captures what Cher is really about. The songs are just great and Cher shows how she can really belt out really good songs.
It may be cheese but who cares,
Cher doing a disco/ballad collection all rolled into one.
This is music to hoover by, it can also be music to chill by.
Life long fan - have seen the lady twice, was very upset when Sophie Ellen Bextor released 'Take me home' and there was no credit to Chers lable at all - IT WAS HER SONG FIRST
Some of it is a little deep but diehard fans of all ages will love it - your collection isn't complete without it.
My mother cringes when 'Shopping' comes droning from my room as she knows I have made lots of purchases! This is the song that describes my excess, 'Hell on wheels' is my disco fave on there.
Check it out.
