- An old favourite which brings back memories.
Although I no longer have the original cassette, this is similar to a greatest hits album my mother had years ago back in Australia. It covers all the best songs of theirs I know of, without getting too sentimental. I do have the Love Songs album which has many good songs on it, but it sometimes makes me gag, and it doesn't have some of the better songs which are included in this album. For the casual fan, this really is all one needs.

- Nice intro
This is my first and only Carpenters album. I knew most of the songs from the radio but there are some that I wasn't so familiar with, the slower/quieter ones particularly. Even for just two of those, 'Solitaire' and 'This Masquerade', it was worth getting this album. These are the ones which truely let Karen's mellowness shine through so radiantly and powerfully that it strikes me again each time I hear them. Some of the other songs are remixes, and though I must admit that I'm not sure how the original sound like and so whether this is for the better or for the worse, they make pleasent enough listening. The last song (?) is pretty out of context, and I guess you need some background information (that I don't have) to understand what it is... Anyway, since I don't intend to get other Carpenters albums, this was supposed to supply me with a relatively extensive intro which would cover enough ground. It did that quite well.
- LO MEJOR DE LOS CARPENTERS
Si tu eres fan de los Carpenters y deseas tener sus mejores y mas bonitas canciones, este es el album para ti; una de sus mas completas y bellas recopilaciones, con sus inolvidables WE'VE ONLY JUST BEGUN (un clásico), THOSE GOOD OLD DREAMS (mi favorita y en mi opinion la mas bella), CLOSE TO YOU (infaltable, todo un himno a la nostalgia), TOP OF THE WORLD (simplemente tierna e ingenua), ONLY YESTERDAY (grandiosa), SOLITAIRE (te hace llorar) y uno de sus mejores clasicos CALLING OCUPANTS OF THE INTERPLANETARY CRAFT (te da cierto sabor a "Star Wars" y a "Encuentros cercanos del tercer tipo"); infaltable para todo fan nostalgico del pop de los 60's y 70's.
