- Music videos with a CD are always a bonus!

In case you are wondering if the DVD's will play in the American region, THEY WILL!! I wasn't sure if the DVD was region free or not so I took a chance and thankfully it is and the DVD plays just fine in American DVD players. For an import this is a great deal, most imports are incredibly expensive, this one isn't and is well worth it.

I'm not a big Britney fan, in fact this is the first of anything of hers I've ever bought. I wanted the new 3 song but I hate paying for mp3's, their low audio quality isn't worth paying anything if you ask me. So this album is great for me because it has some of her best songs, including the newest one, and best of all this imported version comes with some of her best music videos as well. I love it when bands include their music videos with their CD albums, who could complain about that?

I don't know why some people complained that she already has another greatest hits album, if you already have one then you could simply not buy this one. You do realize you don't have to buy every single f-ing CD she puts out, right? Oh well, maybe I'm not a "true fan" unless I complain, who knows.

This is a great album at a great price. I only wish Lucky was included, but its no big deal, I think I will survive, lol.

::Other thoughts:: Would it be possible for some of her videos to be put on Blu-ray, or were they not shot in HD? I'd love to see Toxic in high definition, that diamond suit she wears in that video would sure sell a lot of Blu-ray players!

- Good Collection? Yes. Definitive? NO!

So I've been a big Britney Spears fan since her debut "...Baby One More Time", so when I heard they were releasing "The Singles Collection" I was pretty excited. I mean I thought it would pretty much be a CD of the last ten years of my life. And the CD is good, but it's far from "The last ten years of my life".

What bothers me about the collection is the lack of older hits. No "Sometimes," "Lucky," or "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart." What's up with that? I mean that was when I liked her most. And why did they include "Boys"? I hardly even remember that one, I didn't even know that it was released as a remix until "Greatest Hits: My Prerogative". Was it really a bigger hit than "Overprotected"?

I was first also thrown off by the inclusion of "Born to Make You Happy" on the US edition, since it wasn't a US single, but now it's one of my favorite Britney songs so I'm glad they included it.

On the positive, the booklet basically makes it worth the purchase. It features interesting facts and pictures from the music videos of each single on this CD. (Although I'm pretty sure the Box Set (

) will have this too, with all of the singles).

Either way, it's an OK collection, but hardly definitive. This is more for the casual fan, while the CD Singles box is for hardcore fans.

- Awesome Sounding Collection

I received the Singles Collection today and I was pleasantly surprised at how great it sounded. I guess they "Re-Mastered" it just right. I'm awaiting the Deluxe Singles Collection which will be out towards the end of the month (I'm getting that for free w/my rewards from a credit card ;)

I'll let you all know about that and how the two compare in a couple weeks!

- Too Many New Songs

This singles collection doesn't do Britney justice. I'm not a big Britney fan but I do enjoy alot of her older songs and if someone is new to Britney they will think this is her best work when it's far from it. Most of the new songs on this album are weak. 3, Circus, Womanizer, and Boys shouldn't even had come up when the makers of this album put in together.

Songs like Lucky, Not A Girl, Sometimes, Overprotected, and Outrageous should have been on here instead are at least featured along with those I mentioned. Thank God, her other good songs (Crazy, Stronger, I'm a Slave For You) are on this otherwise I would have given this album 2 stars.

Overall, this cd is ''ok''. I only keep it for the songs I do like.

- Good Collection

Can't say that I'm a Brittany fan, but many of her songs are catchy. I've heard many of these songs on the radio in the past. So there is a level of nostalgia. Plus, I need some good music for when I'm out jogging or at the gym. These songs fit the bill. For [...] bucks, I'd suggest you get them while they last. These are remixes, however, I never listened to her music that carefully to notice the difference or make comments about that. Most, if not all, of the songs are nice to listen to. So I give this 5 stars.
