- It doesn't make sense...

I had heard the original album when it first came out and thought it was much more mature than her previous work but there were still those damn m.martin songs that really hold her back from being the next Madonna. I think it would have been awesome if she relied on more overseas producers for this album. Btw I heard she is doing that for her 4th album- Guy Orbit and one of Kylie Minouge's producers are rumored to be working on it.

Slave 4 U is good but it would have been a nice hidden gem if it wasn't a single at all. Most of the songs are good- Cinderella and Bombastic Love are just..bleh. Cheesy pop, she would have definately been better using I Run Away, Before the Goodbye and When I Found You.

I Run Away: a very nice song. ok vocals- It sounds like she's gasping for air some parts but it's not bad.

Before the Goodbye: HER BEST SONG- hands down. This should have been a single, if not the first single off of the album. It starts out like a trip hop, if your not familar with that listen to Craig David. Great vocals on this. The song just gets faster and faster and it could have been a great radio & club hit. BT is awesome. I could see a bright future for her if she goes in this direction.

When I Found You: Nice beginning, sweet lyrics, nice vocals. It's kind of odd but it works- it sounds like it has Asian influence so maybe that's why she thought it would be better in Japan, or wherever she released it.

Overall I hope Britney listens to her fans because the unreleased stuff is what will introduce her to a more mature audience. Britney, plese no more Max Martin songs- you can only tolerate that staccato piano background so many times.

- Her Best....

I have all four of Britney's albums, well five if you consider her Greatest's Hits an album. I still think "Britney," this album is the best. All of the singles from the album were great, "I'm A Slave For You," "Overprotected," "Not A Girl, Not Yet a Woman," and "Boys." But I was really surprised that "Anticipating," "Lonley," or even "Let Me Be" weren't singles because they were really good Britney tracks. There aren't any "filler" songs on the album....well I guess "I Love Rock and Roll," is....to be honest not a fan of that remake anywyas, but truthfully every other song is awesome!!! This is definatly Britney's best album......a must buy for a Britney fan....if you want to buy just one britney album...buy this one first!! And you'll be hooked for life.

- My honest opinion

Britney's new album is just a tad bit old.. Okay I have agreed with people before, but this is where I have to draw the line.. Despite the first single "I'm A Slave 4 U", the rest of the album goes back in time to "Baby One More Time" and "Oops I Did It Again". Maybe it's the old cliche of the Max Martin/Rami production team. Not to put down their work, I am sure they are talented and they have come out with some good songs, but the style is becoming boring. Anyone on the planet can identify that same beat just by a few listens. I do take my hat off to them on "Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman". It is probably the only song on the album I can stand listening to, and that's not saying much. "Bombastic Love" is nerve cringing! It is just awful. This goes back to the likes of "Soda Pop". Another throw away track that somehow made it onto the album. A Majority of the album is up tempo and bouncy. The cover version of Joan Jett's classic hit, was poorly done. For the simple reason, Britney just does not have the vocal grit to pull it off. This styling is completely foreign to the teen-pop diva. She'd do better constantly singing something along the lines of "Baby Baby oh Baby Baby"... Although not a devastating album (I have seen my share of those), it just isn't impressive enough in my humble opinion to be anything more of a success than her previous work.

- Unsatisfying, her Worst album

Okay, let me say this right up front, I am a Britney fan. She has some really catchy songs, nothing that will go down in history, but they are fun.

This is almost unlistenable and I'm really sorry I bought it. The problem is with the production, I think, because the beats and stuff just sound lame.

- Honestly, not bad at all--fun pop album.

Britney Spears's third studio-recorded album, appropriately titled 'Britney', is actually not bad at all, as some would believe. Britney even co-wrote much of the music on this album and some of the songs get very personal. Here is the album's track listings:

1.) "I'm A Slave 4 U" ~ funky, upbeat song. I like it! Keeps you moving on the dance floor. 4/5 stars

2.) "Overprotected" ~ the DarkChild remix is actually better, but this song is still very catchy and great for dancing. 5/5 stars

3.) "Lonely" ~ not one of my favorites. OK upbeat song, but kind of strange. 3/5 stars

4.) "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman" ~ one of my favorite Britney ballads. Think she can't sing? Just listen to this song! 5/5 stars

5.) "Boys" ~ fun dance song! Love it, especially the song's topic! (lol) 5/5 stars

6.) "Anticipating" ~ great R&B-sounding dance song. One of my favorites. 5/5 stars

7.) "I Love Rock 'N' Roll" ~ cool remake of the classic Joan Jett song. Very cool beat. 5/5 stars

8.) "Cinderella" ~ another one of my favorites. Like the beat and the lyrics. 5/5 stars

9.) "Let Me Be" ~ an OK upbeat song. 3/5 stars

10.) "Bombastic Love" ~ catchy, upbeat song. It's different, but I like it. 4/5 stars

11.) "That's Where You Take Me" ~ a good slower song, not exactly a ballad, but slower than most of the other songs. 3/5 stars

12.) "What It's Like To Be Me" ~ the song written by Justin Timberlake and Wade Robinson. OK, but I don't really like Justin. It would've sounded better without him. 3/5 stars

Like I said before, Britney's third album is a pretty awesome one. Britney's voice works well with the songs she is given. She's a great performer and deserves way more credit than what she gets.

I highly recommend 'Britney', by Britney Spears.
